Default 55' chevy sedan

this build has been a long time in planning, started and stopped a few times, and now has found a grove that really seems to work.

custom.......everything really.
TH rear end
Creeper front (for now)
G-made V1 1.9
1.9 rock crushers
TH trans
going 15t HPI fireball and the stock TH ESC for now. Brushless in the end though.
g-made gtransistion shcoks in the back
stock axial shocks up front for now, had them and they work.

Here is how the idea started almost 2 years ago now, RS10 axles and creeper wheels and tires, loving the current version.

Trying to do a cantilever with the servo under the boby. Almost wotks, need more throw on the servo side.

Your servo is going to hate you unless you get a longer arm on that canti

If you have a traxxas steering rack sitting around, I would use the piece on the left in this picture. http://www.amainhobbies.com/images/m...ra/tra3743.jpg

Yeah, trial and error. Anyone seen any other setups similar?

It's not efficient, but it can work. The main problem I see with using the revo rocker is that it is not exactly a 90 degree difference, so in the starting position you are actually pushing the linkage out instead of straight forward. Also, as the linkage rotates you will be losing efficiency past the 90 degree (from where it attaches to the linkage) point.

I think the optimal setup in terms of transmitting the servo's power would use a long arm that the servo will attach to, and a short arm to attach to the steering linkage but then you run into the issue of not having enough throw.

Is that a MERV rocker? If so, you might go ahead and try using a rocker from a full sized revo.

No traxxas stuff here, I was looking at exactly the problem you are talking about. Just hate to hang a servo on the front of this. I think it will kill the look.

That is a part off a twin harmers, I think it is a shock rocker.

I think you could possible use this piece on the rustler steering rack after trimming off the excess post, but you would need to find a shoulder screw with a long threaded section because the ID of the bushings in the rack is 5.3mm

Another option that might be easier would be a 1/10 revo rocker with the servo pushing the long side, but I'm not sure on the screw size or the actual dimensions of these so it may not work too well.

Why not go BTA with the servo mounted on a plate that extends behind the axle, and hide everything under a cowl? You are going to run into steering issues without the servo rotating with the axle.

Yes x2.

@OP make your own rocker 90 degreees and equal leverage ratio, cut out from two plates and bolt together with countersunk screws and metal tubing spacers!

Got the one I ordered in and it was exactly what I needed, so for this project I guess it was worth the $14.

slide the front axle forward to clear the fenders at full lock.

And then did a final trim on the body and mounted up some TH rear shocks on the front.

It did not, didn't even come with the bushing but I happened to have one the right length.
