I keep seeing a forest green one on base with a white roof, would look bad ass with some sweet beadlock rings. I've seen enough desert sand to last me a life time, but to each their own

Are you going to do some work on the rear quarter panels? Looks odd with the bumper following the arch

Default Lipos!!!

todays update.

this morning i dropped the car off at my LHS and had them install my BEC and a few deans connectors.

about 4 hours and $25 later car was ready to run some 3s lipos!!!
I do not have the skills or the tools to soder thats why i took it too them. real clean job. thats why i took it to them to do.

Boy what a difference it is from nicad battery's to 3s. cant keep the truck on the wheels. few things i need to do is mirror the transmission and install my battery plate when it comes in. this should help me stop the instant wheelies on full throttle.

i lost all but one window set since i was testing with the lipos. need to re glue them. but less masking i need to do when paint tomorrow. will be all set for this weekends run. i have 4 lipos, 2 2s, and 2 3s. so i feel i have a good feel for it all now.

What motor are you running? With 3s you can really gear down and still have decent wheel speed...it is great. I have a scx with a 55 turn and stock gearing. On 3s it will jump or lunge off a rock. On 2s it is less than impressive. If you are running a motor in say the 20 turn range you will definitely want to gear down. I like to get a ratio of about 5:1 or lower. On 3s it will still scoot around.

Default Updates from today.

Received my birthday present today from RPP hobby..
Untitled

got my TSL's, power stroke shocks, jevne racing battery plate, tacoma decal sheet, also my axial 8 hole beadlocks.

this made for a good day of tinkering with the FJ.

started with the battery plate. i had to modify it since i have a shorter wheelbase the the plate stopped my body from attaching in the front. so i trimmed that off. this is great it helped me move my weight to the front and helped with wheelies from take off on the 3S.
also installed a project box for the esc. tomorrow will silicone it all up.
