I didn't like this gap at the rear under the bed. So! I have used the stock electric box as a fuel tank. Think it looks good!

Had to tow the Dingo due to a failed ESC. We Found a flashing rear bike light that clipped on the roll bar. Looked like a almost legit recovery vechile. :-)

Chevy met his dad! All 6.2L of him. Rare to see these in the UK.

Thanks! Hopefully one day it will get some scale wing mirrors, clear screen and a cab interior....One day. It's certainly a well traveled truck and I love the idea of having a photo history to look back on. My G+ Community has FAR too many pictures. My missis thinks am nuts. Hehe

Chevy got a trailer to help with the work. Going to build a box of the trailer so it can haul more. Takes 5Kg to bottom out the trailer leaf springs and squish the tires. Reversing is a fun challenge with a trailer. Haha.

Trailer is from Yeah Racing.

I also made a detachable box out of a shoe box and parcel tape! I'll make a wood/metal one at some point.

Looks like it. Not a fan but the green race version on GT was alright.

It is yes. My brothers toy. Compared to my slow Land Rover it goes like a bullet.

Wanted to see what the old Chevy could tow. The trailer is the weak link by far. Six bricks and I didn't want to risk any more. The Chevy pulled that with ease. 13.2KG or 29lbs not including the trailer.

NICE rust/weathering !! Awesome truck, I like to see 'em work like a real truck. The rubber 'Yota mirrors on eBay (or maybe RC4WD.com) look a lot like the ones on the 1:1 Chevy. I've seen some that look just like the truck pictured. They'd be a nice add' your super-nice truck.
Oh, and it IS from the '80s. I bought my Midnight Pumpkin new back then, and (as mentioned) if they have the Chevy or Ford logos and emblems, they are originals (and hard to find and pricey).
My Ford is over 30 years old and still wearing the first paint-job. It was a thrill to get it "back on the road" as a modern rock crawler and detail it out.

Thank you. Wing mirrors have always been on the list....along with some wiper blades!

It does and has hauled a lot of stuff and traveled a fair few miles. It has some great real chassis rust. As you say they need to work and earn their keep! My Missis thinks am nuts when it helps me do the DIY/Gardening etc. But I don't have to completely grow up!

This trailer certainly ain't for crawling. The Abrupt right angle supports for the Leaf springs ensure it get snared on everything!
