Default Hillbilly Unimog in green

I was driving down the road awhile back and saw a LWB 416 parked at a store, got me thinking about how much I missed the old Mog that ended up in Badgers hands. Decided to get another one going but it sat as just a pair of axles for months. SWSC is coming up and I need a C2 truck so I thought I'd get this going. I will probably need to change the trans at some point, as I am currently using an HPI gear reduction and am worried about breaking the output or the gears. I was hoping the track width would be narrower since I wanted a more stock look but this is as good as it gets with these axles.

Anyhow, no build thread. Just some nearly complete pictures.

As for SWSC, this will be my C2 truck but it's no where near as capable as most others. I just want to have fun and hope to place somewhere in the middle.

Here are the specs:

Axial SCX10 chassis
Dual HR mini crawler shocks on front
Single SCX shocks in the rear
Custom modified RC4WD Yota axles fitted with 3racing portals
HPI gear reduction modified for 12t pinion (9.25:1 vs 7.4:1) for trans
RC4WD T-case
Custom front and rear 3-link suspension
Savox servo winch (front), 3racing winch (rear)
Heyok 4A winch controller
Hitec 7954SH servo
Mamba Max ESC
Integy 45t motor
Hyperion 2200 battery or 1300 (both 3s)
RC4WD Mud Bashers
Gmade 1.9 wheels
Custom exo cage
Extended Unimog bed flipped with small wheelwells added

11 7/8" WB
8.5" track width
2 3/4" center clearance
1 13/16" diff clearance
9.5" overall height
17 1/4" length

Approach angle- 80*
Departure angle- 87*
Water fording depth- DEEP!
Static sidehill- 40*
Turning radius- Horrible

Thanks for looking.

Just for shits and giggles, I swapped them side to side and angled it a bit....

Hmm... it just might work. A little grinding, a little glue and...

I'm tellin' you, they were made for this!
Gonna be rock grabbing pain in the ass though!

But seriously, I will probably do some boatsides. Need to find some lighter material than the stuff I used last time. Maybe Lexan but most likely steel again since I have some.

22g sheet metal is what I used on the last one. Tomorrow I'm going to cut the M B panels up and see what happens.

Thank you.

I will never be a bolt on kind of guy. My Exo Terra and Twin Hammers are my least favorite. Fun as hell but nothing to fab on them.... yet.
