looks like the national guard trucks near here.

though lose the yellow tail lenses, and it'll be better.

TOO much desert tan. paint the rollbar, mirrors, and grill black. maybe the bumpers too. and ditch the yellow lenses.

I likey! Nice truck! I like the tan bar and mirrors, but it would prob look better with alittle black. prob. the detail you are planning . I have been thinking of using that color when i get around to painting up my body. is it a tamiya color that will work on lexan? ( i think hilifts are hardbodies)

as a military tribute .... doesn't that theme dictate the details more than our boardmates preferences?

The only mods I've done are cutting up the diff covers a bit and giving the steering a little more lock to lock. The details, hmmmm, haven't quite decided on what I'm going to do yet. At first I was going to flat black the roll bar and bumpers. Now I'm thinking more of a camo look. Some flat black, brown, maybe olive drab??? Not sure yet. I've got a simple suspension lift too in the works. I wanted to see what the yellow lenses were about. I like them but will probably change them out to the clear later.

there is something really cool about that color, I like it. a little flat black detailing would finish it up nice!

I like it. You should grab some model paint and put some camo on it to make it blend in with the desert scheme you got going on. Put on a large antenna or something in the rear for the cb. My F350 at work is nothing but boring air force blue with a stake bed.

I just took it apart for some redo fun.... I'll be picking up some brown and light olive green here shortly. I'll also be installing some clear lenses.... The yellow was cool but the clear will look more realistic.

Default New Paint & Body Lift!!!

I went ahead and camo'd the whole thing. I'm really likin' it now. For those wondering, I narrowed the wheels by cutting off the outer beads front and back. Then I ca'd what I cut off to the inside of the wheel. Its a pretty simple mod. If you have a drill press.... I just ran a screw and nut into the wheel and put it in the drill press. Instant lathe. I use a utility knife to cut with. Just turn on the drill and put the tip of the blade where you want to cut. A little pressure is all it takes. It leaves a nice clean cut everytime. For the body lift I used some round plastic spacers I had laying around. I put them under the 6 mounting points of the mechanism deck and 1 on top of each rear body stay. All it takes is some longer screws and something to use as a lift block, just like on a 1:1 rig. I changed up the lenses too. I think I like clear better....

yup ... the camo look is top notch IMO ...

I also think the clear lenses are better, but for a true "military" look, blackouts might be a very nice touch ...

That looks fantastic, really like the camo paint. I thought about doing a grayscale cammo with my 350 but got bored and decided not to paint it, after the g2g today and the smashing of the body I'm glad I didnt take the time.
