Slapped the old wheels back on to go test out a new spot today after work. Was a good time and it's only about 12 minutes from my home.

New rear bumper works great. Now I really need to find the time to get the new body painted.

Took a bit of a break from crawling, mostly due to lack of time. Getting things ready for spring though.

Not much has changed on this rig since my last post, but I did just pull the motor to rebuild it, it's in pieces on my bench lol. Cleaned trans and re-greased. I did finally get some proper foams from CI as well. Still need to paint the new body and bumpers. Debating on making new sliders for it and I do need to make some new front shock towers, since I lowered it they are a little short.

A pic because....we like pics lol

Was just thinking. Some people will look at this rig and have no idea what axles are on it. LMAO.

Nuttin wrong with that. I built 3 or 4 scale crawlers with TLT axles. Years before there was such a thing as RC Crawling.

Been working on my Ford a lot, this old girl was feeling neglected.

Made a quick and dirty rear body mount so I can bring this on the first crawl of the season next weekend. Just some aluminum angle and some Parma body posts. I like to cut the posts to size and drill and tap for button head screws. Looks pretty clean and if you paint your screws they pretty much disappear. Didn't get the holes in the body level, but I don't really care since this tired old body is being replaced (wish mine was ).

Next is paint bumpers, sliders and new body and I'll call this one done....for now.

Got out on the rocks yesterday. Put my old wheels and tires back on, don't want to run the new ones until I have the body painted. Had 11 rigs out on the rocks (two were off doing their own thing), weather was great and had lots of fun. Was actually hoping to get some paint sprayed today, but it's raining and way too windy.

Ordered 4 new lipos Friday night. Sure glad I did, my old batteries have no punch left in them and the capacity is waaaay down. Forgot some of my packs are 7-8 years old . Take good care of your packs and they can last a long time.

I built the same rig many years ago. Same chassis and axles. Nice work, TLT axles fit that body perfectly.

Small update.

Stripped out the splines in the front locker last weekend. Tore that down yesterday to repair.

Pulled the rear bumper to add the braces that I intended to long ago. Had to be done as I bent the thing last week as well lol. Decided to pull all the steel to straighten sand and paint.

Was actually going to get the body painted, but my brother came over and we went crawling for a couple hours. Would paint it today, but it's raining.
