Default My new build

I bought a brand new unopened GCM 4Ten Chassis Kit, with the motor forward plate and transfer case and CMS, and two sets of Tamiya Springs, the kit uses SCX10 axles and Tamiya or RC4WD leaf Springs, I bought a set of leaf springs and the shackles to make trailers, now I got extra sets of leaf springs to see how stiff or soft I want to go.

1.9'' Pitbull Rock Beasts
C.I. Single Stage Closed Cell Double Deuce Foams
1.9'' OG RC4WD Stamped Steel Rims
Front Two Weighted with stick on weights
GPM aluminum Rear lockouts
GPM aluminum C-Hubs
GPM aluminum Knuckles
GPM aluminum Tranny Case
Robison Racing Steel Gears
Axial Racing Metal Drive Gear
New Bearings for Tranny
New bearings for axles
New axle shafts front and rear
steel thru hole outputs shafts
steel thru hole input shafts
GCM thru Hole Hardened Shafts for the transfer case
GCM 3'' inch Lift Kit for the 4Ten Chassis so the Rock Beasts work
Kamatec Land Rover Defender 110 Pick up body 11.3''
RPP Hobby Headlight Rings and Grill For the Dingo I think
Metal Dingo Front and Rear bumpers for the Defender look,
might buy a Dingo body and make it look like a Defender

Or
My SCX10 11.3'' wheelbase Proline CGR International Scout body
I'm leaning more toward the Scout now, but now will take my time with Defender and make a rear roll cage and Canvas top, just haven't worked it out yet.

The Chassis is coming from Italy, I got a Hell of deal on it couldn't pass on it, it left New York Customs yesterday, so it should be hear soon, the waiting sucks

and three sets of 90mm shocks, 1. Proline Aluminum SCX10 Dual Spring, 2. Stock freshly rebuilt Scx10 dual spring, 3. I'm leaning towards these G-Made TS 01 internal spring ones, they worked great on 12.3'' honcho until I did some mods and it got too heavy and they were compressed to much, maybe being lighter a rig and the leaf springs setting the ride height, they might work, if not I'll look on here and see if I can find some that will work.

I also I got a used Castle MMP esc and HH 35t brushed and a Tekin Heavy Duty 35t brushed or my Tekin Hand wound 35t brushed motor and go 48p 14t pinion and 87t spur, but I'm leaning towards my Tekin Redline 13.5t Sensored Brushless motor, got the sensor cables, not in pics, with 32p gear setup with a 9t pinion and 60t spur gear it should crawl good I'm hoping, I might need to buy some extra spurs and pinions and test it out.

I got my metal Dingo Bumpers today they come with the light buckets and the lights, I like the looks of them, but when lite up I like them even more, I bought a used Dingo body and going to make it look like Land Rover Defender 110 pickup, and try to fabricate a aluminum sheet metal cab, so it looks more like a pickup.

I just bought these for my Exo, a MMP SCT Edition esc, Castle 1410 3800kv brushless motor and the fan for the motor, and I got the Castle Vanguard AE-3 esc and a Castle Vanguard 2900kv brushless motor out of my Exo, so I could put the 2900kv in the new build and make it a go fast trail truck.

I got my MMP SCT esc and the fan for the Castle 3800kv brushless motor I got coming, I bought a used Axial Dingo body, its pretty nice and the guy is local, and on here so it was a win/win for both of us and he did a nice job on the paint job going to look good as a Defender 110 truck.

here is what I got so far, with out instructions and no directions, need to mount motor and tranny, need to figure out how set up the wheel base and center the body length wise so the bumpers have even spacing front and rear, in the mock pictures, its not centered on the chassis the body and both axles need to come forward, I'm going to set it up stock ride height and see if I like it, I also bought the 3'' lift kit and want to see how bad ass it will, I got the Dingo body today, and took a pic of the metal bumpers mocked up, I might move the lights on the on the front bumper, to the inside, in front of the grill, cause the previous owner of the body put the light buckets from the body kit, and the lights on the bumper blocks them, and so there going to get moved.

Its rocking and rolling I like the rear set up with the 3'' inch lift kit, the front is the stock height, I had to buy another 3'' lift kit, for the front axle and I got figure out the steering linkage setup, I think it goes over the top leaf springs but not sure. need to do some research and look at other peoples of setups and builds.

I got my 3800kv brushless motor for my EXO, I didn't know they go 100,000 rpm's, wow that's a lot, and I got another Land Rover Defender sticker sheet and one with stripes and door handles I think that is what those are.

I figured it out, I needed too flip the transfer case, to get a better drive lines angles. And had to change out the front drive shaft, with the shorter wild bore drive shafts, I might need shorten up the front drive shaft, cause when the suspension is fully compressed, the front drive shaft it bottoms out, I hoping that when I put the 3'' lift kit on for the front axle, the front drive shaft, will stop bottoming out when the suspension is compressed. I ordered some, Losi Mrc 70mm aluminum bodied shocks and going to try a droop setup, even with the lift kits, you still need 70mm shocks, cause the 90mm shocks from my Scx10 are way too long.

I got the shocks mounted up, I'm not sure, I like the 2mm threaded hole for the bottom of the shocks, front and rear, when the top mounting is 3mm front and rear and I changed out the dog bone and cups for a short WB8 drive shaft to connect the tranny to the transfer case, because I was playing around with and the dog bone fell out pretty easy four or five times in row, or it would bind up if caught and it did it a lot, I was thinking of putting a small spring in each cup to center the drive shaft up and lose the slop, but I changed it out in stead.

I got the lift kit installed on the front axle and used spacers to get the steering linkage over the top of the leaf spring and there is now clearance between the linkage and spring

back the truck up, I have changed directions once again, and bought a Toyota Body with rust and damage, I might change out the grill from round headlights to the grill with square headlights and paint the body to match my 1.1 white 87 4x4 truck or leave it the way it is, my bad after looking at the tail gate my 87 is a single handle in the center not two, one on each side so the round head lighted grill is correct, that's ok cause I did own and just sold a 84 4x4 truck with the same body style as the one in the pictures below.
