Default Szczerba's 1.9 Ultra4

Goal: Solid Axle'd Fun 1.9 Fun. And fulfilling my ever constant urge to build something.

Picked up this unfinished chassis in the classifieds a few weeks ago, as there was something about the lines I really liked.
Ive been posting alot of pics on Instagram but I figured it was time for an RCC thread.

Here is how I got it.

Start of suspension setup. Yes, it matters.

TSS Low Smooth Skid

This skid allows for more clearance and does move the lowers up a little.

No shocks or shock mounts.

Two revisions of shock mounts with 103-105mm shock lengths and I have my suspension like I want it.

Shocks for now: 110mm Kings internally limited 5mm up front with random springs from the spring drawer
100mm Big Bores internally limited 3mm out back with slash springs.
Full bump

Full droop

Close to ride height.

I was going to try and have it half ready to at least test out at tomorrow's ARCC race.
No sway bars burned in yet and limited scale details.
Did get 95% of the welding done last night and in primer.

Rough electronics layout.
Vanquish Trans Case, Robinson gears, 56p gears
Traxxas ET-3S Esc, Castle BEC and ol' dusty Tekin 13.5

Battery will slip in its compartment in front of rear tire.

^ x2. I'm liking this... love the wheel and tire combo. The 1.9's just look right for most builds, I don't care if the SCX axles aren't scale looking. They are a great choice. And nice work on those shock mounts.

Thanks. I really dug the chassis lines on this unfinished setup. So I started cutting, hacking and hastly welding it like I wanted. I had my mig set on heat level three and should have had it on level 2. Figured that out after almost finishing up all the welding. The chassis was brazed when I got it and not really cleaned up around the joints.

I am using VP SCX Curries. Just have posted up the specs yet.
100% VP parts in them, VP Lockers, VVD's, etc, except the rear axle shafts, ring/pinions and bearings.
CURRIE AXLES

forgot to mention I am using 3 hole and 6 hole Mattzilla Tabs. I need to go order some more!

Thanks guys. I am not sure which direction I am going with this build but I wanted a 1.9 track rig I could beat on pretty good. The chassis came to me with all 1/8" brazed rod. I have been MIG'ing in 5/32" rod here and there.

Using a Holmes Hobbies Servo up front. Out of stock on these but expect an updated/upgraded servo from Holmes in the near future.
