Looking good!

Glad to see someone is still rocking a TCS X-trail chassis. I have been using mine since they came out years ago.

Here's a little bit of progress. Rcc member Warren built a Southern Buggy chassis for me which turned out AMAZINGLY!!! While he was waiting to get it back from the powder coater, I asked him if he had a few mins to build a spare tire rack for this build. He nailed it! Thank you Warren!Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412699998.635384.jpg

If you're asking how much for the tire carrier, you'll have to PM Warren.

Hello everyone! I'm back! Kind of like a bad rash, I know. LOL! It's been an extremely busy year out on the road and I just haven't had time to work on anything. But now it's slow so I'm working on this one again. I've started making the front bumper and it's coming along ok. I do plan on selling this project when it's done in case there's any interest. I'll get some pics up when the bumper is done.

When I said don't rush it, I didn't mean to stretch it out over the years!

Get some pictures posted son!

Thanks guys! I've really missed working on these projects! And of course I've missed you all! Ok, so this is what I started with for the front bumper.
The stinger isn't the right shape but I can fix that. I wanted to start with something solid and this will do the trick. It's all metal. Then I went to work with the styrene! It has proved dang near impossible to duplicate that bumper and make it look scale! First off, even the RC4WD Warn, mini winch is really too big. So to accommodate it on the bumper, it kind of throws the whole thing off. So this is what I ended up with... It looks cool but it's not exactly like the 1:1.
What does everyone think?

I forgot to put up a comparison shot. I fiddled around with it a little more. I got the light bar figured out too!

As long as you aren't going scale crazy with the dimensions, it's looking really sharp. Keep it up.

I'm about 95% done! It's almost ready for the final paint! I'll put up pics of it later but I even mounted the body with magnets. It works pretty good and will make it quick and easy to change the battery out sense it will be on the frame.

I'm still not sure about these tires though!?

Oh, and fr8cture, I've had the discs on there sense about day one. LOL! I was taking a pic of how I did the scale hubs on the front.

Oh. Lmao oops.

Imo pass on those tires. More of a old school tire Imo. Check out the rc4wd atturo trail blades. I think they would look sweet.
