What I need is for someone to sell me the tires off one of the new Capo Racing JK's! They are not identical to the Nitto M/T's but they are probably as close as I'll ever get. Sent from the great unknown! |

| Re: Full Metal Jacket JK Thank you sir! You're designing some really awesome parts! I had already made the front fenders from scratch. Then I saw that you had designed both sets so now I'm using yours so they match. I'm also using your front Deadbolt inner fenders. Sent from the great unknown! |

Looks amazing. I have had a number of people ask if the Smittybilt fenders fit the New Bright body. Did you have to do any mods to the fenders to make them fit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well, the short answer is yes. It took a lot of work and creativity to mount them. Once you cut the fenders off of the body, you don't have anything to mount your fender to if you want them to line up with the body lines like they should. On the rear set, the openings for the tail lights are too small for the original New Bright lights and the front part that runs down the rear door is too short. I didn't have a good set of the original lights anyway, so I filled the holes in the body and used a set of your JK lights. On the front, the fender is supposed to go all the way to the door hinges of the front door. Your fenders are about 1/2 an inch short of that. And the same issue as the back ones, they don't go all the way down to the bottom of the body. Obviously they can be used but not without some work. I had already reinforced the New Bright body with Styrene on the inside to make the sides stiffer so I had a place to mount your fenders to. I also used styrene to extend the front fenders to the door hinges on the front and then some body filler to even it out. I didn't modify your fenders in any way other than stretching them where needed. The modifications were to the body. The list of your stuff that I used on this build is, *Front and rear XRC fenders (Modifications discussed above) *Front Deadbolt inner fenders (required trimming and are short lengthwise) *Door hinge protectors. (Require sanding the original molded hinges off the body) *Hood latches (I like yours because they have the post on the back to go through the body so they can't be knocked off) *Tail lights I got a set of your rear inner fender wells for a JK but they won't work because of the interior on the bodies. I also got a set of your door handles. The scale on them is too small for these bodies. I was just looking at the Deadbolt rear inner fender wells on rpp. They might work on the rear, again, with some modification. Sent from the great unknown!
