You could make a drop down pan to mount the trans to, keeping it good and low but still angled enough for decent D.S. alignment. The bent up sides could bolt to the chassis rails. The shift servo can be mounted remotely as long as it's close to a straight shot to the shifter arm. You probably came up with something like that already though .

Got some ideas, but I just gotta see how the rest of it goes. Still need to decide where I'm gonna put the battery.

Crossways on the chassis just above the T-case and rearward in the cab, leaving room for an interior if you so chose?

Trimmed the servo mount to fit better under the body.

Shocks mounted inboard.

Body on and trimmed for steering servo.

Front body mount.

So far I like it, although the coating is flaking off really easy. I guess I'll have to repaint it.

I've been thinking about it, and I think I'm going to name him "Otis"

I think he looks like an Otis.

I've been throwing this idea around, not sure I like it.

I think it sticks up a little too far.
I used Balsa wood for this but I will make it out of Bass wood if I decide to go with it.

Another small update.

Space is at a premium, so I had to find a place to put my electronics.

Some more baby steps.

Made a solid way to mount tire carrier and deck down, stained the deck and sealed the box so it's sort of weather proof. Painted the radio box and trimmed up front bumper just have to braze it on.

I think the transfer case is where I want it.

I had to shorten the servo arm on the shift servo, but that's ok it doesn't have to move very far any way.

I also got the deck stained

When you first saw my Boyer chassis, you commented on all the holes and adjustments it had....bet you're glad now that it has all that!

The wood details look killer and the tire rack is a nice touch. You definitely took yours a step or two beyond! Nicely done, sir

Will this rig see any autumn runs or are you keeping it in the shop till spring?

Yes I am glad there are all of those holes, I've moved my links 3 times now.
I still have a long way to go.
Need to come up with a location for my battery that I like,
Paint,
Have to come up with money for wheels tires and foams,
it needs lights,
need to weld the front bumper on,
paint the chassis because the powder coating is sh!t......

Oh yea, I have a SC body I need to paint for a buddy too.

So maybe LATE fall at best but I'm not rushing it.

Well it's been a while since I had an update. Not a very big one but still...

I got the battery tray mounted and the transfer case mounted.
I also bought another body, so I will be painting one nice and the other one nice and old.

One of those hot racing threaded washer and bolt caps that go on there axial knuckles and stuff would look cool as the front body mount. It would look like a rad cap.

I'm using an acorn nut for the front mount, but I'm gonna look into your idea.
