this if my first build thread I've ever done. So everyone please be patient with me.

After I seen a few of these jeeps I knew this is what I wanted to build one. This build will really only be a body swap with a bit of parts change because I'm starting with my scx-10 jeep kit that I've been using for about a year now

Got my gcm t-case put together. This is my first gcm part but defiantly will not be my last it went together super easy and looks amazing

Can somebody with this body help me out. I want to remove the doors but I'm not sure how.

Yes! Put this black thing away! This is the first step

I started to get the chassis tore down



Then I installed my gcm motor/trans mount

Mounted the trans to the gcm mount, installed my t-case and found a third drive shaft

Fist body mock up without rear links



I took the smaller spring off of the icon shocks till I can afford the rock krawler shocks from rc4wd

Just pop off that black block, take the screws out that hold the window frame and cowl and push the pins thru.

For the panhard I had to move it forward a bit and drill a new hole to work with the gcm mount



Cut down the stock shock hoops to get the body to sit lower



And got the doors off and put black electrical tape on the fenders to get an idea of what it will look like

Hmm, I like what you did with the rear shock hoops. Maybe I will do that on mine to get it a bit lower. I'll probably drill my holes higher though to keep as much of the stock stance as possible.

For the from body mounts I took the body post type pice from the axial kit box



Carefully drilled it out with a 17/64 drill bit and mounted it to the frame



Now the post on the bottom of the body fit in it



And cross drilled it for a body pin

Wow, I like that. Thats another issue I was having with sheet metal tabs was bolt them to the chassis with the cms and bumper mounts. Paint to get it on every time.

Flat Grey for the body and flat black for the fenders

I'm thinking I want to cut the rear fenders completely off. What do you guys think

Die Laughing, fr8cture and now yours. Man all of these look awesome and i guess i may have to bite the bullet and get one. Great job so far.

Oh i say keep the rear fender and skin the top with diamond plate.

Wow thanks for the compliments. fr8cture & die laughing are the ones that inspired my build.

I like the rear fenders but it's so tempting to cut them off.

I would keep em unless you do a comp cut which looks awesome too.
