High-Lift Mods (steering servo, track bar and body lift)

Well, I just finished a few mods on the high-lift. First, I didn't like where the steering servo was located, so i moved it to the front next to the shifting servo. This was a pretty easy mod because there was already a place for another servo up front. All I had to do was space the servos down a bit by using some 4mm nuts as spacers and some longer screws.

The next thing that I didn't like was how much the axle moved from side to side when turning the wheels, so, I broke out some TLT leftovers and made a quick track bar. It seems to work pretty well.

Last, was the body lift. I plan to run some narrowed claws or geos and I know that I will need a little more clearance, so I used some more 4mm nuts as spacers. They are 5mm thick, so, I guess I can say that it has a 5mm body lift. I just had to round up some linger screws after putting the spacers in.

Anyway, here are a few pics of it so far...

Looks good. I like the track bar, I think I might steal that idea from you.

hope this helps you out!!!!

thats not a tracbar it's a panhard rod, just so you know, a tracbar goes fromthe front to the back to minimize axle wrap, a panhard rod keps the axle centered and minimizes lateral movement.anyways just to save you some frustration, here you go.i did this exact mod a when i assembled my hi lift(end of Sept.), try this, you'll find that it turns good in both directions, and no bump steer.the shift servo mounts in the rearand if you did the body lift the battery fits under the bed and over the shift linkage, if you know what i mean.

Track bar and panhard bar = the same thing.

You are thinking of a traction bar. Also known as a "anti-wrap" bar.

I do like your shifting servo in the back. That would make room for a winch up front.
