Yes, sorry, bought a fixer upper house so the trucks have been neglected. But I never did sort out the rails, I just Swapped back to the stock rails. I did however just reinstall the new rails as well as ordered a VP Panhard mount and will attempt a servo mount after work tomorrow. |

i've got the RC4WD CMS on the SCX10 so i've got something to look at while i try to piece this rig together I was going to try to machine my own axle mount similiar to the RC4WD but after removing it and looking at it, it's WAY more complex of a part that i initially though. It's still doable myself, but i'll save the maching time and went with the VP mount. I'm also still torn on ditching this for either a Twin Hammers or Yeti (I want to go fast) but i am going to at least see how this does at going fast first. I've also ordered some dual stage shock pistons for the big bores to attempt a go-fast shock setup I do have the rear swaybar dialed in though and HUUUUGE difference in wanting to flip on its lid, but the shocks respond too slowly for speed. edit-i don't want it to seem like i expect this to do what a yeti or twin hammers does, it won't see short course duty, it is still a crawler at heart, i just want to be able to get some speed at the beach between rocks. Decided to just order the Level3 chassis mounted servo kit for the wraith. I'll only be using the servo mount (which also includes a mounting point for the panhard) along with the VP SCX10 panhard 30link axle mount.

Yes, made a huge difference too! I'm only running a rear though. Last edited by Richterat83; 02-04-2015 at 05:26 PM. |

Are they level with the chassis at ride height? I have them on mine too.

Affirmative. They're mounted to the outsides of the shocj/link mounts and sit level at ride height and offer full articulation

Yeah, more than I prefer honestly. I'm running the traxxas big bore shocks with losi micro Springs. I want to try to raise the shock mounts to lower cog and ride height

Rebuild the big bore shocks while watching koh. Rpm dual stage piston and 20wt oil all around. Can't test it until the cms arrives so I can have steering, but Co. Pressing and rebound is soooooo much faster! I'll have a video up once it's running comparing these side by side with the scx10 running identical shocks (stock pistons and 40wt oil) but I'll be converting the scx10 to the dual stage as well.

I have less drop out in the rear than the front due to the bgr shock tower. Want to raise the front or lower the rear but everything for the front sticks through the roof.

Current ride height pics after a little more shock tuning Current setup: Traxxas big bores Losi Mini-T springs (med on front, soft on rear) RPM dual stage pistons (I can't recall which in there now though) 20w shock oil Neutral ride height compressed Full droop Brought the truck to work to hit a local spot on my way home to get it a test run |

Those were the first set of ABS mounts so they did crack on first install. He did Nylon parts that are stronger As to moving the axle forward, it would havee no effect on as the frame rails are the same width apart the length of that section. I'm running axle mounted servo now, but i went back to my stock frame rails Last edited by Richterat83; 02-17-2015 at 11:43 AM. |
