Like you really thought I was going to be satisfied with a polycarbonate Chevy body?

Bring on the Tiyote. The real build starts now!

First let's strip the chassis of unnecessary parts.

Then let's add an 80 series Land Cruiser body from ebay.

Oh just for giggles, how about we cut it up?

Answers to all of your burning questions:
Where did I get it? Ebay.
How much did it cost? Just shy of $200.
Where can you get one? Ebay.
But how much was it? $162 + shipping from China.
What's the wheelbase? 314mm.
What scale is it? 1/9.
Why did you ruin it? Because it's fun.
Can I put a set of Yota axles under it and take a picture? No, I don't have any.
What's with the Care Bears? That's not something I'm willing to discuss.

These are the main tools for ruining things.

Sewing thread for the curvy stuff and cutting out doors/hoods.
Razor saw for straight cuts like bobbing beds.
Utility blade for scoring cuts to snap.

And since I was on a roll...

Pretty cool and thanks for the pictures. I need one of them baby shark tooth saws.
You did't need to cut the rear hatch off for demonstration purposes for lil ol me but I guess it gives you something to work on now. Carry on.

Hooray!

Do yours turn evil when they're exposed to water too?

Some inspiration. This was a friend's LC that I used to wheel with, meet Lorena Bob-it.

This is like one of those Pirate4x4 builds where someone buys a mint vehicle, then immediately chops it all to pieces. I love it.

Can't wait to see it all come together.

Kinda schweet that it'll tuck the tires right out of the box, since I'm sure that's all you care about anyways.

Oh, well, I better cut some more for good measure.

Looks to have some light body modifications.

I do much more in scale than I'd ever do to a real truck. I get kinda sad when I see nice Toyotas get hacked up.

A little work on the rear hatch to get rid of the JDM license plate holder.

More sanding and filling to do.

And thanks for changing the title 1JeepBadBruiser1

Time to change those awful looking chrome wheels. RC4WD 1.9 Pro 10's will do nicely. I built them backwards for a wider track width. This has got to be the first time I had a problem with the body covering the tires too much.

Since the wheels are pin drive I couldn't use the stock hexes. I found out that there was a lot of slop with using a pin alone. The axle shaft moved freely in and out and caused the bushings to come with it. I stuck some Axial 2.2 wheel washers in and solved the problem.

Locked Up scale nuts complete the wheels. You can also see I removed the rear shock mounts and stock shocks and replaced with some much shorter shocks. Stock shocks are much too long and make good cwalrer. I don't need good lexan cheater cwalrer. I need interior.

Nice.

Truck.

It definitely has the FZJ80 vibe going on! Iroks and wide steel wheels.

Agreed! Those new GCM axles or Yota axles would be right at home under it.

Whoever makes that body did an excellent job scaling it up from its 1/24th scale model.

That does look mean. I don't mind the axles that much except the chrome diff cover. But I don't care to go super scale.

That body is too expensive, you should have used the lexan one.

Chrome makes it go faster. And there's no point in living if you don't go super scale.

The lexan one was too expensive so I bought a JK.
