I did add a 3mm foam outer trim ring to the fronts because I was getting some unwanted roll and sliding of the foam because the tires are so soft and that made all the difference. I'm not sure how long the tires will end up lasting because they are so soft but I will be sure to keep everyone posted as time goes on.

How is the speed of the suspension cycling with diff fluid? Do you use lower dampening piston? Awesome work on the truck by the way. Sent from the clouds |

I haven't updated this thread in a while so figure it's about time. I really haven't changed much, I am still running the Scorpios but I have given them what I'd affectionately call the "KLR Cut" and installed 4.75" Lil Nova dual stage foams front and rear. These tires are working awesome so I haven't felt like purchasing a set of KLR's quite yet although I did test them at Worlds in Vegas and was very impressed. Before on Left, After on Right And all the tires complete... I also got rid of my electronics box after Logandale and reconfigured my electronics. It was so out out there that after just 30 minutes of run time my FXR thermal'd on me so I had to remove the lid to the box which is what prompted the change. I also used Corrosion X for the first time. Everything is still up high so I'm not too worried about it. Yesterday I installed my new 2" Crawler Dude RC light bar behind the grill and a couple old prototype Crawler Dad lights I had in my parts box. Now when I go back to Logandale in November for The Fix G6 I'll actually be able to see where I'm driving and not have to rely on other drivers or a head lamp. Coated them with Plasti Dip for a stealthier look Ready to go... |

A little video shot by my friend and fellow TCS Crawler team mate Ferndogg310 out at Logandale Trails. At 1:27 you'll see a short clip of the f100 and me from Worlds this year. http://youtu.be/_kQ6wLDNHnk |

I hadn't really done a whole lot with this truck other then some general maintenance and drive it so I figured it was time to take care of a few things that have always bothered me. First on the list was integrated rear shock hoops. I had always regretted not making some when I built the chassis so I figured it was time. This also meant relocating the spare tire since the shock hoops would be in its original resting spot. I'm not crazy about the location of the spare but it's not too bad. I also quickly painted up a temporary body to replace the beat up and cracked original until my new body arrives. While I'm at it I figured it was a good time to replace the equally beat Dinky Honcho interior and attempt to fab up my first brass cage in order to get the full 50 scale points that had been alluding me for the last 1.5 yrs. Here's a few more little details I decided to add to the build since I was on a roll. I replaced the black cab back with a nice piece of aluminum panel I then moved to the bed which was just a piece of styrene and replaced it with some aluminum diamond plate. I also had to rework the exhaust to exit after the rear tire instead of after the cab like it had been when I changed up the lower links and pushed the axles forward about 1/2". Little side hill winch hoop I added to the cage. And finally some pics of the new body A local club member painted up for me for Scale Nationals. Last edited by bmuzz1; 02-24-2016 at 10:49 PM. |

I'm gonna need to tone down my cankles before we leave. If you hook me with your bumper, I'm done for.

The story goes, last year at the AZ Summer shootout my truck flipped over backwards and I wasn't able to move fast enough, the bumper speared me in the shin and left a pretty sweet hole...it didn't tickle!
