Going to build a new class 1 or 2 (haven't decided). It begins with Scale Shop frame rails. The rails are only water-jet cut out of flat steel, so thin strips will be welded on top and bottom to make it resemble "C"channel.

Both rails welded up.

Maybe Curries for diffs. I'm considering a Toyota or Chevy hardbody. A V8 is going under the hood.

I think I may have found my body.

This RC4WD engine is super cool, but may add too much weight. I may choose not to use it.

More parts have come together.

Made up some headers, still need to make collectors, and weld them together.

These Mayhem Engineering 2.2 wheels are going to look good on here with these 1.9 tires. Not sure if I'm going to stick with these particular tires yet, but they certainly look the part!

Started work on the radiator support/ body mount.

Made a transmission mounting bracket, and small tabs on the engine, to make it easy to unbolt it all for service.

Got some more work done on the radiator support.

Also made a hood latch. Credit for this idea comes from MetalMasher. He showed me a few of his amazing rigs at ECSC. In the background are a pair of rear cab mounts.

No way......small block, headers, great metal work and now a functioning hood latch! Way to cool. I am not worthy. Enjoy following your build.
