I got most of the wraps on , man what a difference , loving the look of this rig.

[IMG][/IMG]

Still have to make a decent front clip.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

I made up some sway bars out of stainless and put dots of weld as bolts on them to add to the scale looks . ( I REALLY want a laser welder at home ! )

[IMG][/IMG]

Still a lot of small details to add , I want to get it pretty well finished before I run it , there is only one chance to get a heap of showroom pics before it gets beaten on.

Congrats on building an absolute ripper of a rig! If only I lived closer so I could see it in real life.

After seeing your pics from the local comp I'm thinking I should make a trip down for one some time , looked like a good turnout.

Wow that turned out fantastic man. The wrap pulls it all together nicely and the small details like the mirrors and dash add a lot!

Which interior piece did you end up using?
Did you like use the 0.5mm alloy sheeting from bunnings for your panels? I was fiddling with some today as I need to make new panels for mine.

It's a hpi trophy interior , I did get a yeti and a hpi apache interior to try out but they're both way too big.
Yep, the sides and hood are .5mm alloy sheet , super easy to work with and takes a dent well , get some scale trail rash happening. The roof is .5mm titanium, that is the best by far, just a bit harder to form . It's really springy material.

Yeah I use the trophy interior in mine, the apache is too big to work in mine too.
So you find 0.5 holds up well enough then? I've wanted to use it for ages but figured it wouldn't last..

It does get dinged up but I don't mind , I always get a spare set of skins made when I make a rig so I have a shiny set as spare backups. On my Campbell rig I used colorbond flashing off cuts for some panels, heaps stronger but heavier.
