Thanks mte.

Ignore the wheels and tyres, they're not staying.

Gotta finish the tail lights.

Looks innocent enough....

But it hides a sneaky sectret...

Things left to do:
finish lights.
install electronics.
Wheels and tyres.
Get more M3 lock nuts as it's only being held together by the grace of God at the moment.
Finish the interior. It's had some detailing done, just haven't photographed it.
Redo the windscreen.
More weathering.
Probably other stuff I haven't thought of.

Thanks guys.

The pig was from my LHS and is made by Schliech.

Much has been happening at a rapid pace over the last week. I have a play date coming up!

Installed inner wheel wells at the front and electronics are installed, so this is officially a runner, although still missing some bits, so hasn't run yet apart from on the bench!

Running a Tekin FXR with an HPI 55 turn brushed motor for now.

Another look at the battery draw. Everything fits nice and snug. The cable simply folds up on itself when the draw is pushed in and is contained under the tray out of sight along with the rest of the cables for lighting. The receiver also is located under the tray as you can see in the previous pic above.

And the rear section is now fully completed. All lights are installed. I've used the HeyOk controller to give it working tail lights with brake lights and functioning reverse lights. The light for the license plate also turns on with the headlights running off a HeyOK switch on my third channel. Sorry no pics, but you'll see in good time!

And new wheels and tyres have arrived. Gmade wheels with Dick Cepek FC II's with foams from Proline Flatirons. I did the steel wool and vinegar trick for rust. Still have to do something to the bolts and hubs.

Prior to this thread, I've never understood the "scale" thing. I was expecting to see another shelf queen. All I can say is wow! Those vids are off the hook, plain bitchen. Thanks for helping me "get it".

I did full sized off road car bodies for years. I have built a scaled version of those, building another now. Never was concerned with the attention to details like this truck. Lookout! Mud on the windshield sold the deal as did the rusty wheels. I watched those videos a few times. Good stuff.
