Hey guy!

Nice work so far!

Any idea on the weight of the body with the top on and all the fixin's? Need a weight comparison to the Aoshima/Skynet.

Thanks!

Thanks sir. Trying to keep it as close to the real thing as possible. I'm very happy with how close I got to Nebula Green.

Weight of the body is 2.4 pounds all-in.

Thanks Mr. Guy, I will weigh my Aoshima this weekend. It's a heavy little bastige from what I recall... gotta weigh it with the hub caps.

I sure wish somebody would sell the hub caps for this thing. The ones I'm going to use are not quite right.

Looking forward to the next update, Matt.

It's going to be great for that! And you can count on it happening as soon as we rid ourselves of old man winter. Although, there's this scene from an awesome old Toyota promotional film that I might want to replicate...

Oh, the shocks shortened with some plastic tubing really stiffen up the old girl, might make it "look" like it's on leafs, like it should be. I believe n00b's actually converting his, so watch for that.

I have a source for resin ones. If a set of these magically appear in my mailbox, I wouldn't be the least surprised.

That can happen. As long as the chrome finish is left in tact. That's also why aluminum appeals to me, more real.

N00b's always going to be ahead of me. He's sort of a Tiyote expert.

Home stretch (until I decide to leaf it anyway)!

Whoever drove it last, had really muddy boots.

Added some minor details here and there, including these great Gmade wheels. I sprayed my own mixture of grey to get it close to the real thing. I also added some Sophisticated Finishes and vinegar to weather them a bit. Should take it's time.

I'm not sure what took me so long, but I did do a lot of small things. For example, the wipers got moved to the proper location. I weathered the roof. Added some accurate badges, etc.

Now, to leave it out in the snow like n00b did. ;)

Looks fabulous. Is that a 3-D printed winch? Very cool.

Looks great. I like the removal of the chrome from everything.

Also my favorite color FJ so far.

Looking good Guy, seeing your stance makes me realize how much I need to get on limiting my shocks... I hate monster truck height rock crawlers
