Thanks Matt,
Definitely had to jump on the MTZ band wagon, they are probably the best tire for his build

Sweet, I was looking yesterday and culdn't really find any that had different color hinges. Now I feel better about it

I could rant and rave for hours on the definition of the words "scale" and "realistic" but I'll do that in one of my own threads.

Thanks Rich, I think it's pretty scale crawler.... And at least I am not adding stick on weights to my axles LOL

Considering I painted it in the dead of winter and not in a booth it came out pretty nice actually. The heated garage definitely helped.

So what you are saying is I need a super small but large scale screw driver then ? Better contact by snap-on rep now

Got some goodies in the mail. Didn't have time to do anything with them because the 1:1 hilux decided it no longer wants to shift gears so I have spent the last 2 days trying to figure out what's going on with that. The clutch master decided it rather push fluid into the truck rather to the slave cylinder. After installing a factory toyota clutch master I had high hopes the problem would be resolved but it would appear to be a clutch issue, more then likely the TOB, since it's pretty unlikely that the marlin built w56 is bad.

Some awesome emblems from the UK

And a nice vacuumed formed interior kit

And then were are give this a try

That's a flocking good idea. I made up one of those bug zapper/strainers to make the flocking stand up with static electricity around my scale garage and it worked very well.

It would be neat to have fuzzy seats. Nice idea!

So this stuff is pretty flocking sweet. I have never used it before and this my first attempt. I watched some you tube videos and read some modeling forum write ups. I opted to try it with Elmers glue incase it was a total fail I could wash it off.

First attempt I learned that the whole less is more rule doesn't apply... Didn't use enough glue and it's "bare" looking. I do however like the way it looks in the spots where it's good

I went heavier on the glue on the other part of the seat so we will see how that comes out

It doesn't look bad at all to me. I wonder what it would look like with no glue or flocking in the grooves. I like this idea so much that I may try to follow in your footsteps.

better with more glue, but still not a 100% yet... been talking with some model builders to get some better tips for applying it

Are you using spray adhesive Mike? I find that flocking works best when the undercoat of paint is a similar tone to the flocking material.

That is something I am quickly realizing matt, I shoulda hit them with some gray paint first

I am using elmers glue. I did it incase it came out like crap, I could rinse it under hot water and it would come off.

Its a possibility they may face the sink... I actually just re applied a coat of glue over the existing flocking and the small drivers seat looks even better then the big seat now... Ill take another pic now

I've been in rc since the late 80s, I have to say until I found this forum I've never seen more dedication to true modeling.
Your rig is beautiful friend.
I wish I had a quarter of your talent and patience.
