Yeah man, I can't catch a break been a rough week... Clutch disc exploded on the 1:1 Hilux, so I had to knock out a clutch job. Then I was reassigned at work to re-qualify for weapons training, and my one co worker that sat next to me during the classroom and DPF testing halfway through the day told me how sick she was yesterday and had a fever... ended up shooting a perfect score but by 6pm last night I had 101 fever...hate fevers...always have weird dreams

The avatar is something I just recently acquired, hence why I have been selling a lot of stuff

It broke itself , had a Luk clutch in it, I know jeep guys like them but in every toyota I have ever had I always went with the toyota/aisin clutch. That's what I put in now

Clutch also has nearly 50k of what I would say is hard wheeling. One of the disc springs blew out

Never mind all the pavement pounding you do. I saw the Facebook pick with it all cambered out... and the wing.... and the under glow... and the dual NOS tanks in the bed... and the laptop on the passenger seat. I warned you, 600 shot 3 stage would blow something up, (we knew it wouldn't be the 22r though).

lol... He even PM'd me about 'bagging it Chino... When I told him the front axle would have to go in order for it to fully lay frame he asked where he could get a second monster notch kit. I told him it would just be ANOTHER 'bagged Hilux... He must really be feeling sick.

Yikes didn't realize it's been this long since I updated this thread 0_0 it's been a crazy year for me, I started off strong with RCs then I kinda slacked off again because of the 1:1s. Now the summer is gone again and the temp is dropping so it's back to being in the house and this past week I had some motivation to get cracking on the cruiser. The flocking was becoming more of a pain so I opted to kick it old school and busted out my Toyota factory dash rattle self adhesive felt kit and got going on upholstering up the seats.

Using the n00b rear floor pan, I opted for a Herculiner look. I had coated my cargo area in my 4Runner like this when I had it. Still undecided if I want to use to the cargo box that hides the ESC or not.

I had a few bucks in the old PayPal account, probably shoulda used it towards my new 98 Camry I picked up butttttt I opted for some cruiser goodies instead

Picked up the RC4WD LED light kit, inner fender wells, CCHand rear flares and snorkel and emblems.

Started by getting the snorkel installed

They really nailed the detail on this thing with the photo etched body and micro hardware

I had also scooped up one of the new warn winches some time back, and finally got that installed. It's the perfect size to go a long with this body

Krawler Konceptz had also made me some true scale NYS license plates, also made to for this larger scale body and they look awesome

Lastly was the flares, which prompted a tire and wheel combo change. I swapped with Lents old Hilux. Gotta say, feeling the gold ENKs on this with the brown. I may try some mini rc4wd wideners and see how the gmades look then but right now there isn't enough offset with the flares

More to follow! Thanks for looking

-Mike

Thanks for the update. Those details make all the difference. Esp the license plate. One of our 1:1s has CHCLTLVR - yeah for chocolate! Very well done, sir!

It's on the to do list, I want the old man emu shocks for it too, I like the yellow. I had to pick up a daily driver so I spent all my money on a 98 Camry. Next month I'll order up necessary suspension goodies. For now I'm gonna button up interior and other details

The regular size ones

So after much debate with myself over the tire and wheel combo I finally went back to the Gmade and n00b steelies. My gf got me another set of Gmades for Xmas and Ma dukes got me another set of tires. I wasn't happy with how inset the wheels were especially with the flares so I went with some rc4wd mini wideners. I then drilled out the n00b hub caps and shoe goo'd some original rc4wd Yota hubs in place

You may also noticed I installed the rc4wd inner well kit, which BTW fits amazing. Also swapped shocks to some old man emus. I still have plans to leaf it but I'm getting there a little at a time.

Then, in efforts to try and be cool and not so me too-ish, I came up with some styrene corner guards

Also got the rc4wd simple LED light kit installed

Scale emblems from over seas

Rocker guards got finished and installed with locked up scale hardware

Typical toyota sagging in the rear

She's almost ready for a test drive! Just need to pick up an ESC

Thanks for looking

Been one of the more fun builds I would say, hard body builds always allow for so much more detail.
