Wow!, great build, and styrene work, Somewhere around RCC I swapped parts from a Ridgecrest to an scx10 chassis and used a Traxxas Dodge SC body for a wroncho, but it doesn't come close to this, nice work!

Thanks Mike, I did see your Dodge build. Gave thought to a cammo job as well. Went with a styrene '67 Kaiser in beautiful olive drab instead! Love those Mopars though!

Thanks!
Made a couple updates. Test drive in the snow, cool! added the head light kit, found these super bright units from G.T Power that were 22mm in diameter. Fit well and are incredibly bright. Also found from RPM some cool taillight buckets from a Slash rear bumper set. Didn't want any visible signs of securing the body, so I hinged it and added that Velcro hold down over the front body mounts. So far so good, at least for the short distance it went in the snow. Had to create an impact point since the SCX10 frame stops so short of the front bumper on these body's. Has that nurf bar kinda look, may add a brush guard to it, and finish some kind of rear bumper. Interior is next.
Flopper top!

Yeah, as soon as the snow is gone, its going out! Thought while the snow is melting I would see if I could replicate the dash in one of these F100's. This has to have an interior! Going to try a vinyl dash pad after its painted.

Added a cage to the bed, trying to give it a old Baja race truck look.

That interior is gonna be sweet! I like the rear cage, too. I want to do that on mine too, eventually. Old fords are the coolest off roaders in my opinion. Like this:

Getting a little more done on the dash. Waiting for a Wraith interior kit to see how well it fits in the wider F100 body to finish up the interior.

Just test fit and installed the interior, added some Locked-up RC goodness, and took a few shots outside. Serious test drive ahead!

Great work, I love seeing the Fords being built these days! The weathered red matches what my 66 looked like 15 years ago perfectly.

Thanks Guys!

Well, it was a nice day for a change, took the F100 and Jeepster out for a little testing. Video isn't the best, I haven't figured how to hold the camera and the remote at the same time! Think i need a camera man!

Thanks! I found that i needed some more dampening, the stock set of Honcho shocks I installed didn't cut it. So I added Proline Powerstroke shocks to the front, used 40w Losi oil and saw an improvement in how the truck reacted coming up to an obstacle and getting over it. Also added a 1/4" of additional ground clearance (sits 3" from skid to ground) as while I didn't want it to sit a mile high, it wasn't clearing a few rocks and stumps cleanly. After the shock swap and ride height change it was totally different - very pleased with the outcome.

The amount of details you are putting into this build is astonishing! I have been saying that 8th scale builds would open up a whole new world to better details and this truck does it some justice! Way better than the Ford I just cobbled together. I had no idea where it belonged so I posted in the large scale forum. It can stay there since this build blows mine away!
