Looking to order a skeleton J2 gcm chassis this week but am struggling with which axle configuration to use. I want this to be a c2 competition truck and be tough as nails. I love the scale look of the terra mod's but am unsure of the plastic. I can use beef tubes to weigh down the axial axle and with a vp stage 1 set, lockers, vvd's and hd gears make them bulletproof but they are the least scale option. I love the width of them though, great look on the china jk body. I don't have any experience with the rc4wd axles as far as how tough they are but I do believe they are narrower but great scale looks. Thoughts from the community would be really appreciated. Thank you |

Have you looked at the rc4wd d44? They use the axial ring and pinion gears so should have comparable durability to the stock scx10 axles with much better looks.

I'll look at those. I'll have to see the width as well
