Default FJ40 and a Half!

I wasn't going to purchase the new Cruiser from Rc4wd but somehow felt obliged to have a go at one.

Big old box

Mine came with a Cat as well? not sure what to do with that but he's quite cute so he can stick around for a while. Maybee use it for Seat fabric?

Having gone through the box I have found what I need the rest can be sold because i'm not going to use any of it!!

Heres the Plan.

Woah...woah... I see what you're doing here. I've got my eye on this one! And is that a Curry axle I spy? ...slick...

And there seems to be a theme with the cats? I noticed my recent build came with a cat as well. Huh... They must be running a purr-motion on these...

Was wondering when someone would molester the body into a 45'ish rig. Should have known you would....

As for the cat, if you are going to make seat covers with the fur, I'll take the paws for a batch of soup. Can't let anything go to waste (for those who might really think I'd do that, I'm kidding).

Like a boss! You waste no time getting right to the business at hand.

I'll start the bidding for the cat. $35 shipped.

Whoever wins the bid on the cat, I'll buy the paws from you. I only need 3 more for a batch of my famous cat paw soup.

All I have been thinking about is 45... but I wasn't quite ready to take that plunge yet... its taken me long enough to get to where I am at now. I really respect the guys that do this type of stuff so quickly... I am hours into just painting the details on the damn door panels

CAUTION

For those who think its just cut it, stick it, job done.
Before you all cut up your Brand New 40 Shells

Its not that easy. I dont know whether its the Different curves or the moulding process but its not a straight forward cut and shut.

I have however got it back together and attached to the Rest of the Body.
There is a tiny little bit of filler bit of sanding to keep things nice.
And I still need a little fettle here and there but its pretty straight.

I'm glad to see your mojo is kicking into overdrive. Any metal work planned for this toy truck? Great work on the body!

Day off today so more progress.
Couple of other changes to the Cab things I dont much care for.
I'm not 12 years old and I dont need locating pins on a windscreen.

I'll cut a New Screen out Later.

Wont be needing these locating lugs either you can see them from the outside and they look daft.

Gone

First pass with some primer its not bad nearly there.
Hope to get it in paint this afternoon.
