Default Clod bodied Xtrail/AX10 FINISHED at last

Here's my 1.9 scale build that I've been working on since November.

Specs
Axial running gear(trans/axles/drivelines)
Axial electronics(radio/receiver/speed control/servo)
Axial suspension(shocks/links)
TCS Crawlers X-Trail chassis
Integy 35 turn motor
Tamiya Clod Buster body
RC4WD Mud Thrashers

I need to do some prep work for paint and do something for a front bumper but I should have it drivable in the next week or so.

Nice work on the truck. I have a clod body for my SCX-10 too...just built a topper for it. I really like your hood. what else are you tinkering with on the body?

Thanks. The cowl scoop for the hood is from a 1/12 scale 69 Camaro model kit that I had an extra hood in my part box. If you're asking about the hole below the back window it's to clear the spur gear so I can set the body down as low as I wanted.

Default More progress and more pics

Finally got the paint and bodywork done even though I had to re do it because the original paint scheme didn't turn out because the paint was crap so I went with the simple hot rod satin black. Now to some detail pics
Took some aluminum tape

and made some trim decals

and the painted the lights and grille

and on the chassis

More pics.

Just need to build some bumpers and install the electronics and it's done. I may even go to a set of 1.5 tires and wheels.

superb job. It looks really scale. I like the color of the truck very much, I can see just one defect, It's too perfect, too new...it would need some scratches or rust...

All in good time. I need to get it operational first and then run it like a rental car.

I'm not going to be doing an interior. I don't want to put that amount of time into something I'm going to drive the wheels off of. The only thing else I'm going to do is make up some bumpers and maybe do up a bed cover.

I have no actual dimensions,I just kind of cut pieces to fit as I went along using 1/2"x1/8" flat bar,3/4"x1/8" flat bar,1/2"x1/2" steel tube and some scrap sheet steel.

Now on to the next project.
