Sharp man! That stain contrast really well with the black bars. Smart how you kept the full depth of the cage instead of throwing it on top.

As for the tarps. Can't take the credit for that one just glad you liked the idea and found something that worked for ya. Looks good on there dude

Any update on a driver?

A-team Rocks ... wish I still had my Murdock action figure from the mid 80's he would make a kick a$$ driver... still can't find any driver that satisfies my scale taste...

Oh oh, Sweetness! Judging on how well you did on the fenders, that recessed gas cap will look awesome when you're all done. I found that piece about tracking down the color rather entertaining Guessing you located some?

Those lil shinny bits are real nice man If I'm right, I been working on a pair too. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Bumber about Murdock, was such a good idea for a driver.

While looking at a d90 in traffic the other day I noticed that the little reflectors on the rear were Red instead or Orange. After some Google image searches it seems they should be Red .

So I painted them up with some Turn Single Red out of my model box..

Frickin' Awesome! That camp site with the scenery and all is very legit looking. You have one hellova eye and sense for scale shots man
Another one of my favorites is the safari-esque silhouette shot you've got.

I have a few updates from this weekend I decided to tackle the body work on the fuel filler from DJ designs

First I drilled and cut out the old filler, and glued in the new part.

while that was drying I ran to pick up some touch up paint and found out that Honeydew is NOT the correct color so after a few trips to a couple stores I found "Leafy Rise" form Valspar at Lowes and it is definitely the correct color.

after my attempt at weathering we have this..

I'm happy with it wish I could have done a little better but its just a lil trail truck.

Looks just fine to me.

I find those detail parts really add to the overall feel of a scale truck.

Cheers

Nice Defender you got going there. I especially like some of the details you have put into it.

And since I'm currently planning my own Defender 110 build, I'd like to ask some questions, if I may:

Sure,

I got my most of my supplies from Voglelsang Aerospace. I used the 1/32 Cable, sleeves and thimbles, 2mm turnbuckles. (you have to phone in your order as they have no online ordering.) I then used RCmodel Ex for the 2mm mounts used for the hood. to get the best looking crimp I would suggest using the swaging tool, they are spendy for such a small project; I was lucky enough to find one at work.
I covered the sleeves with some heat shrink tubing just to see if I liked that look but totally sold on it yet so they might come off.

Awesome! Thank you!

The best thing about these turnbuckles from Vogelsang is (as they mention on their homepage) that they are actually from Kavan in Germany - so even easier for me to get them. Although I have now found even smaller ones (unfortunately made from brass without a nickel coating) on a UK website. I will check them out as well.
Once I have enough to show, I will present my Defender here in my own thread. Cheers!
