Greetings , starting on this build since its too Damn hot to hit the trails down here in Baton Rouge , La. .Decided to build me something different that I haven't seen. Plus my building skills are ok , I was inspired by Headquakes yt video #76 .

I'm trying being in the midst of all the talented builders here on Rcc. Being this is my virgin from the ground up build , I had to try something truly doable. Easy enough lines and all. I must have watched the same inspirational body build on Youtube at least 5 times daily on my free days. Plus , while every one is thinking this is styrene !!! Stay tuned for more !!!!

Slow weekend but more progress!!! Also started putting the Scale Shop extra fabulous chassis together to start getting this project moving for real!!! Shout out to Shinjari for all the pep talks and help!!!

This is what I am using.
Sintra PVC Foam Board


> Lightweight yet rigid and durable
> Easily formed into just about any shape imaginable using wood and foam board fabrication techniques

I've heard of Sintra, does it sand like styrene? Looks interesting, will follow this, cool looking - unique build!

I think I know what Sintra is.
Got a chunk from a friend of mine and used it to mock build a winch bumper.
Just for looks tho.. ;)

Thanks bro , I take me hat off to all the great scale builders here on the forum and truly see the time plus efforts in making bodies by hand . I do have styrene here and there on this rig but it will be 97 % Sintra. I was skeptical at first because how light it is , I did some stress test and realized its the business!

A little bit more done. That's the steel tabs that will keep the sliding door on the van.

My front grill 3d printed!!!

Had to print in 2 pieces ,but I am happy with what I have!!! More progress pics coming soon...

Cool build, i dont think i have ever seen one of these done before so hats off to you man... liking the look of that chassis too... be interested in how it performs compared to a SCX10, i see on the scale shop website they've built it trying to improve on where the SCX10 is out dated now, certainly seems like a cost effective way to make the SCX10 more effective
