Looks very nice. I might have to try the panhard myself. I was a little lazy and just four linked the Hi Lift/ Rover I did.

The rear shock mounts look sweet. Can we see front end working?

Great looking rig Pinchy, I love the front suspension setup.

Tell us, how do you keep you workbench so that you can actually see it. My projects are always sitting on top of a layer of parts, screws, scrap metal, and unused tires.

DITTO! My work bench is my dining room table that is now an oversized desk and den area. My wife and I have to rock paper scissors to see who is going to use the workspace every night.

Don't know about anyone else, but I occasionally give it the big arm sweep. Sure it makes a taller pile off to the side, but it gives me some clean, clear space to work!

That's what I do too when i get frustrated. Anything that falls on the floor takes it's chances on whether or not I find it when I sweep up every six months.

I have been converting my K2 3S into a build about this size - I got ripped off on a Isuzu VehiCROSS hard body. It was supposed to be a 13" wb but came out at 9" - jackass! Things are getting very tight... but that is how we all like it!

I like that Amigo/Mu body you got there too! Let me know if you want to sell it.

I know, I know.. It has been a while since I posted an update. I have been real busy filling chassis orders and with my 9-5 job, to work on this lately, not to mention the sub freezing temperatures in my garage. So here are the latest updates.

I received my R2 trany and got started on cutting the out drives down and mounted the Traxxas steel yokes.

I then drilled some holes in the chassis to accept the R2.[/

Mounted, Motored, & drive-lined.

Now on to the Front shocks. I cut the upper shock mounts out of some delrin. I cut an angled notch at the bottom of each to flair the mounts out so I didn't have tp use a spacer to mount the top of the shocks.

I thought I would try out turning down some TLT shocks. I then sprayed them black.

Then mounted up everything.

I was able to mount up the steering servo today also.

P.S. Just before I mounted the trany I decided not to use the Pajero or the Isuzu body on this build so I shortened the wheelbase from 9.5" to 9" for another body I have. Any guesses?

That's all for now.

looks awesome, but i have a question for ya. are your shackles allowing the leafs to move enough? the shackle needs to be able to swing back as the suspension compresses (leaf lengthens), and it looks like it might not. what if you mounted the forward bolt of the leafs in the other hole in the mount? this would pull it all forward a bit, and maybe allow the shackle not to bind? might help out on flex....

or maybe i'm not seeing it right, and i'm totally wrong here....

@ 9 inches, I am guessing either Lunchbox or Midnight Pumpkin. Love the build so far.

The Mater tow truck like JIA's wife. J/k

Like the look, too bad the tranny hangs down so far. Seems like it may hang up quite a bit. But I guess with it being that short maybe it won't be so bad. You will have to let us know.
