| The Machismo.... A Class II Macheen
I have been building this rig in my head for quite some time now. I decided it was time to put aside my other distractions and focus on my go to fun/comp rig. Other than my chassis rails I have all the goods to get this one laid out. The build will be comprised of parts from all my favorite vendors with a twist of Toyota and a bunch of my metal work. I will be posting up some pics very soon to time log my progress and I plan on staying on this one until its done As a shout out (and thank you!) to vendor's that make scale rc fun for me I will list the creators whom parts I will be using. (In no particular order ) -Locked Up RC -Holmes Hobbies -Axial -JCad -GCM -SSD -Crawler Innovations -Dlux -Ottsix -Hitec -TSS -Pittbull -Fast Eddie -VP -MTHead -Gunner -MIP -RC4WD -CC Hand -Dinky -Proline -Noob -Locked Up Rc Last edited by Bananaclip; 03-06-2016 at 07:20 AM. KLR's stuffed with 3004 CI Single cell's, wrapped around some VP KMC's loaded up with Locked up hardware. Second set is Madbeast stuffed with the same CI foams wrapped around some fully decked out Locked Up Rc wheels. I love LURC Last edited by Bananaclip; 09-22-2015 at 10:35 AM. They offer the same height with both filled with CI 3004 closed cells. But the KLR offers a wider track and more aggressive tread pattern Its damn hard to beat the pitbull rubber compound. The Mad beast still are my hands down favorite tire. They do great even in loose dirt for a not so aggressive tread pattern and depth. The KLR's performance is unknown to me at this point. I have never ran voodoo rubber. I do think that they are going to be a great tire. ............. Oh and they both look great under a toyota | |

I am very happy to announce that all of my parts have arrived. Now I have no excuses. I do have some decisions to make though and some feedback would be very helpful. Long story but I ended up with 2 killer frame rail sets. The JCAD Karnage and TSS's new Version3 (Both beefy steel). I found a solid deal on a set of SLW Locked Up wheels and picked up some new Orb rings to freshen them up. Put together my new tranny and wasn't crazy about axial's new slipper. The new slipper limits your spur gear selection due to the slide on shaft mount design. So I picked up Locked Up's badass slipper eliminator set up. Now I have to take the new case back apart. My bits from our Favorite Canadian's showed up and need assembly as well Now some feedback is needed. Would you guys go with the typical bobbed bed or a functional/minimal steel bed like one of the following. I have looked at a ton of yota bed's and like these 3 designs the best. I think I can manage to keep the weight low and still achieve a functional bed for scale bits Let me know what you guy's think. Work starts now.......... |

The flatbed with the tank, tool box, and diamond tread is pretty sweet. The flat khaki color is easy on the eyes as well. I also recently picked up a GCM transfer case for my Yota. Pretty good stuff. ...And tell that bum sitting on the tire to stop staring at his tablet and get back to work! |

The typical bobbed bed has been done before, I say do the minimal bed. Will stand out more.

Nice start! Ready to see how you setup that TSS chassis. My vote is flatbed. Personally, I like the flatbed look more than the bobbed bed. I just finished up my dream flat bed yota build last week. Szczerba's Flatbed TF2 ... |

Did you shave down a lockedup tool to get the screws on the diff cover? I painted my diff cover and went to put the scale bolts in and it ripped apart the paint.

The tool I used was there newest version. It has an extended shaft and a thinner driver diameter. No rub at all |
