CHASSIS/ELECTRONICS

Worked on the JK got some electronics mounted and more work done to the chassis. Installed the SSD steering links and also the SSD front bumper. Got all the wiring ran and the warn 9.5cti winch with heyok controller. First time using SSD products and the quality is great and look to be built strong.

The SSD bumper did mount with 2mm and 3mm hardware, I ended up drilling out the 2mm to fit 3mm bolt and nut towards the rear.

UPDATE

Got some more wiring finished, put some heat shrink over wires to cover up. Now I have this rig about ready to hit the trail. Installed 1.9 rc4wd gladiator tires with lil nova foams on to the rc4wd fuel mavericks. Couple more things to do and its ready to go.

Looks real good! I like how it turned out and nice selection of wheels & tires. Now get it out there for a good shake down run!

New rear bumper come in today, RC rock armor rear aluminum bumper. Looks to be built strong and has a mounting plate for a winch and also spots for a trailer hitch and taillights. Has a good bit of adjustments. Heres a few pics of it.

Nope, all one needs to do is look up the tubing. I posted what brand and size, no need to post links of where to go buy it from.

Took the jeep out today to narrows of the harpeth park. It run pretty good, I did find out I will need to vent the tires and I may try some small spacers in the front links to get a better approach at the rocks.

Good choice on wheel and tires, really looks like a jeep you could see sitting at a trail head. I just wish those front axles were offset pumpkins like the ar60's.
