I had nothing to do this weekend but work on interior stuff. I made some seats which is something I've never done . Heck! I've never done any of this. While researching this mid wheelbase 40 series, I found out that it was the first , and I guess, only 40 series to have a forward facing rear seat. So, I went ahead and made one of those. I really like the jump seats which I might change to later but for now I'll stick with what I have made. I also managed to make the steering wheel and column. And, front heater, center console with rear heater. Thanks for looking! Last edited by adamsfly; 05-19-2017 at 08:28 AM. |

Small update but I thought I would share non the less. I managed to get the rubber moulding around the window openings on the top. This was a bugger and painstakingly slow. I would rather not do this again. Gear shift levers and parking brake. Front turn signal assembly and rear taillight lenses. And, Finally I have started to get some primer down and chose the hood as my first victim. The hood has been the bane of my existence and I have nearly scraped it on several occasions but have stuck with it reworking it several times. I think I will let it be. However, I do have another mold (buck) if I want to start over. Thanks for looking! Last edited by adamsfly; 05-19-2017 at 08:36 AM. |

I managed to rough in the front inner fenders. Starting to put down some color. Working on getting the spare tire carrier built before I put color on the body. Thanks for looking! Last edited by adamsfly; 05-19-2017 at 08:42 AM. |

And, to continue on with the tire carrier. Made some treads for the running boards and painted the doors. Thanks for looking! Last edited by adamsfly; 05-19-2017 at 08:46 AM. | |

| Re: Toyota Land Cruiser BJ44V Thanks! And i'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Well, I'm getting the painting done. I've been hesitant in applying the paint to the body and top because frankly I'm not very good with painting. And, as they say "paint hides nothing" its plain to see after that the body work could have benefited with a little more time but all in all I'm happy with the results so far. Thanks for looking! I can really see the light at the end of the tunnel. With the painting done, things are coming together nicely. I was able to get the dash done, heater and shift levers in. Thanks for looking! Last edited by adamsfly; 05-19-2017 at 09:01 AM. |

A very long awaited update at least for me. The last time I wanted to post some images I noticed that they were all gone from my thread. So, it was necessary to rebuild the entire thing. What a draaaaaaag! While I was doing that, I pretty much have assembled the truck minus a few details. The emblems are fantastic looking and give it that nice detail that it needs. The rear ones look a little large for my 1:9 scale but not too far out of place. Unfortunately the front TOYOTA for the grill is much too large so I will have to make that I guess. For today I might place a paper one there and take this thing out for it's first spin. If all goes well, I will post some images with it in it's natural environment. Thanks for looking! |

I have finalized a few small details that have slipped my mind. Wipers, mirrors, bumbperettes, headlights, roll bar and rear lenses. With those items on I thought it time to get it out into it's natural environment. I probably took 100 images on this first trek and have found it difficult to decide which ones to post. But I have narrowed it down to a few that I thought I would share. With the hard top on. Showing some flex. I am very impressed with the articulation on this thing. Thanks for looking |

| Re: Toyota Land Cruiser BJ44V Thank you for the kind words. This has turned out far better than expected and I am very pleased. I love having Mondays off. I was able to take the crusher out in its final configuration. Well, at least through the summer months. I might add some additional do dads later like a roof rack and Misc. accessories. But that will have to wait until winter. I do think I need a driver though. Thanks for looking! |
