I'd like to know how those tires work for you, I was contemplating those for my RC4WD Cruiser build.

Love the Bruiser stuff, I have a ton here sitting in boxes that needs to be abused. Only gripe with the Bruiser axles is the steering angle limitation due to the dog bones... I fixed it.

I need me one of those printed 22R motor covers.
I think these tires will be okay. GMade did a version of it, but they're a little hard. This version could stand to have a better foam in it. Dual stage from CI would probably do it.

Hey, you show me all the parts you need to do that steering mod and I'll see about getting you a 22r.

I used some of my surplus TLT CVD'S which fit well and to my knowledge are discontinued. I made a couple pair of axles a few years ago for myself and a buddy. It's a bit of measuring and welding but it works great. I started repairing my Bruiser axles with TLT ends and thought why not use CVD's. It can be done with other CVD'S of similar diameter since more have hit the market since I made these. Only downside is the bearings and everything need to be installed before it's final welded

Count me out on that then, no access to welder. Looks a treat though, and I bet it adds a ton of throw to the steering. Thanks for the lesson sir, I'll look into setting you up with a 22r.

I got some things brazed to other things. Unfortunately, my bed is now on fire. Could someone help with that? What did I do wrong?

Resting on the frame, but close to final ride height.

Gonna pretend it's not a F-toy. For some reason they remind me of a duck boat that had sex with a Florida swamp buggy.

Well, after a couple of false starts and premature bends, I'm finally happy with how everything has come together.

There's a few tiny things I want to add, like grab handles, and a couple shock mounts for the rear, but the main tube work is done. Pretty chuffed for my first real time brazing a full cage. Merry Christmas!

More junk done.

First I used a couple Scalerfab Tabs to make a couple mount points for the rear shocks. They're nice. Small. And purdy.

Then started fiddling around with a mount for the transfer case. This looks sucky so I'll probably just bend up a flat piece of steel instead.

Mini Grille! Looks the tits IMHO.

Started work on panels. They'll all be screwed into nuts that I brazed to the frame, but are held on by magic for now. Hooray for progress, it's what these nations were built on. Progress.

Cheers!

More progress.

Got all the panels cut and drilled. I don't have enough M2.5 bolts (but had plenty of M2.5 nuts...) to properly put everything on, but yeah... some media blasting is in my future.

Opted for a hood that shows off the 22R.

Also decided to fancy up the rear. I don't know why. Fun?

Next step, interior! Hooray!

Thanks Dean! It'll be pretty simple. Dash and a couple seats. Maybe even a steering wheel. I've yet to mount up your springs, but it's on the list!

Looks unreal mate, keen to see the end results!

I never liked how low the front spring hanger was on the bruiser chassis, so on both my hiluxes i redrilled the hanger about 5mm higher, and trimmed and chamfered the hanger so its at least 8-9mm higher and the wrap of the leaf is exposed so it tends to slide over rocks instead of a dead stop.

Can post a few pics if youre interested?

Bit of an idea what clearance gains modding the front hanger give.

Not massive but noticeable.

Anyway, food for thought.
