Wow !! - Awesome stuff ! Body turned out beyond excellent, as well as the chassis !! How'd you mount your wheels as I too have an 1/8th scale R/C monogram "hotrod" project in the works as well !! |

The transmission installed on SCX10 Performance Kit. It is mounted on the Х-mount and screwed in the first hole on the frame. I have a lot of parts remaining from scx10 kits. Sometimes I dig them, and somehow it works. The wheels are mounted on some round servo connectors. I repainted it a few times before I found the color and effect. I used candle wax for the first layer and acrylic paint mixed with water. Painted with a brush. |

Holy crap! Sir you are a god, this is incredible build, just amazing attention to detail. To build something from photos and be this precise, is quite a feet. Hats off to you! You must be a surgeon as your cuts are spot on.

Can you give me some info about the paintings? I'm trying to find how I can paint chrome parts on my rig also. Speechless! |

I just got the GTO from my grandfather, I cleaned the bumpers, replaced some metal parts, found new tires, not original, but of the same age... Therefore they look slightly different. The paint does not give such a chrome effect. In one of my videos at Impala build I showed how to make the chrome parts with a foil, it may help you. Getting Started with the interior. Textures printed and covered with a transparent tape. Painted spray first, then acrylic paint. |
