1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible build This is one of my passions, and I truly love each of them, the Pontaic GTO. It's not a truck, but as usual I post it on rccrawler forum, hope you don't mind that, because I still like the off-road better. The scale between 1/8 and 1/9. Materials: 2 mm styrene, remaining of 2 and 3 mm komacel, one-component putty, epoxy putty. We started with blueprint and paper model. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60142.jpg Select the scale. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60143.jpg I couldn't find komacel and began working with Evergreen styrene. Komacel easier to cut and bend, styrene firmer. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60144.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60145.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60146.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60147.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60148.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60149.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60150.jpg |

I painted at -23°C cold, but the paint covered great. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60154.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60155.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60156.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60157.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60158.jpg |

Re: 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible build I try to make 2WD chassis this time. The frame was cut in half, to make it longer. And I used a leaf spring suspension. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60218.jpg Rear shaft had to be shortened slightly. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60219.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60220.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60221.jpg The wheels are fantastic, they even smell like candy. It is 1963 Monogram 1/8 scale wheels and tires. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60222.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60223.jpg The wheels fit perfectly, which is really great, because I did not have them when I was building the body. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60224.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60225.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60226.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4218-60227.jpg |
Re: 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible build Seriously killer stance, 1/8 scale wheels and tires look right at home. Car must be at least 21" long, just a beautiful build. Great work sir. |
