Sorry guy's I have been side tracked from this build and RCC for a while now.. Thanks for trying to keep it alive.

Finally getting back to work on it. Been finishing up the suspension also got all the SSD axle goodies installed and added some scale items.

Here is where it's at... I decided to go with all SSD matching axle components.

Dana 60's
HD CVD's
Inner C's
High steer knuckles
Brass Tubes / Front
HD Diff cover / Front

The scale realism just shot up a few notches with these axles. Really COOL product..

I needed some new shocks.. So I decided instead of taking another hit to the wallet maybe I can take my useless King shocks and mix the only good parts from them with a set of decent Proline Scaler shocks that actually dampen and do not bleed as much oil.

I ended up using the King shock caps, adj collars and lower springs. Axial cap seal / O-ring. The rest is all Proline. Not to shabby and they work..

I finally made a set of trailing arm brackets to de-ghetto the temporary set up that I had on there. I'm going to run the rig a few times and see if they have many hang ups to determine if I need to box them in with steel or some plastic.

Made a little Optima Red Top battery with tray. The battery cables and terminals are wires from an old light kit with the servo connectors drilled out.

Also added some store bought scale goodies in the bed to help finish things off.

This last thing is just for fun. The HPI driver helmets are on a limited swivel and the jaw pieces of the helmets are weighted with a small amount of lead / alum. wheel weight. This allows them to move and self center with the rigs movement.

If they are not limited they will spin 360*..

That is all of the upgrades I got for now

Man this is awesome - you did some great work. I like that the bed area is detailed but not totally overdone.

This truck is badass. Love it and the details. What did you use to make those trailing arm brackets?

Trailing arm brackets: 1/2 inch steel square stock.

I've got a new set of 1.9 wheels on the way..

The plan is to test with and with out wheel weights. I want it to be as tuned as possible with no weights now that knuckle weights are not allowed at the national level and I really want to keep the stress to a minimum.

Yes and they are so much easier to deal with than the RC4WD steels. I also switched up to a pair of Trepador's to narrow the track.

Still not sure which tire I like the best on this rig..

Test n tune yesterday. Only took a couple of photos..

Next upgrades on the way.

Front:

Rear:

SSD has a new diff cover design.
