I filled a pipette with nuln oil, basically a black wash for nerd war models. Then I squirted a little into each space. No brush required.

Looking good, the black fill on that icy grill makes a huge difference just wish I had known of this oil you speak of.

Awesome! I think I've got some Tamiya pipettes from a paint set I bought years ago. Now to find them. Thanks

Citadel Shade | Games Workshop Webstore not to out myself as a nerd, it's just what's known as a wash, it seeps into the nooks and crannies to give more shading to bring out the detail

As much as I like the Blazer, I'd love to see more about the International Harvester. That IH body looks awesome.

Just a pile of wood I carved somewhat into the shape of a truck.

Nerds are great.
But there are varying degrees of nerdism.
But, we can't go around calling ourselves "n00bs" else some may get the wrong impression...

I proclaim that here forward we adopt vernacular that all nerds may understand...

This n00b is Jedi Knight!!
Oh, wait.
Disney may not approve...

Is that "nerd wash" made from real nerds??

...can't wait for more progress!!

It's made from nerds, the candy.

Alrighty... Spent the last two evenings getting this thing buttoned up. I painted it last week and let it cure for a few days before handling it. Something I usually don't have the patience for!

I carved an MDF buck and vacuum formed some front inner fenders. Now I'll have some for the K10. Success! Still need to trim them a little more and affix them permanently.

That will keep the mud off of Albert's face.

Red interior is in. I lowered the floor and raised the dash to fit my dolls. In stock form the steering wheel almost touches the seats. I'm sure it was to fit the TF2 without modifications but kinda isn't ideal.

That's a handsome turk.

Out back I changed something. Wasn't keen on the opening swing out rear window as it's not how the real trucks are. I cut a piece of Lexan instead and glued it in place. I won't need access to the body posts...BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ANY!!!1!!!One

Saddle up Uncle Albert. Actually... he won't be driving this. One of his friends is going into surgery tomorrow to have his pelvis removed so he can drive.

More on that later. I'm racing to get this done by the weekend because we will be having a big thaw with unseasonable warmth. Mud.

That's a mighty fine turk. Glad you got some pics of it all white, I expect some muddy pics will follow.

The paint does look fantastic. Very clean. Nice show of willpower.. 2 days. That impressive.

I love these bodies.. I do have a question though, does that weird overbite they all seem to have appear in person, or has it been camera angle trickery?

They have an overbite of sorts but the real ones did too. Perhaps the scale version seems exaggerated though

Hopefully this is the last time I'll see this view. I plan on keeping this one rubber side down!

SnowBunny is coming right along..
I have some melted snow I can send. It might coax yours into submission?
Or, I can send some mud when I get home?

I'd like to know a bit more about vacuum forming, Google- Here I come!!
