Little big update. I've been slamming and jamming on this thing the last couple of weeks trying to get it ready to go for Nationals. Got the winch mounted nice and low / centered. You can also see that I went to Wraith knuckles and chubs with XR universals and beef tubes. I had to run wider hubs with the AX setup so the wraith stuff ended up being the same width with much better stearing: All of the electronics mount to and around it. There's a stacked BR mini's, and a CC BEC. Batterys are 850mAh 65C Thunder Powers: Got my interior built - There's an interior cage as well but that was finished about 3am this morning so I don't have any pictures. I have an Rouge Elementes dash kit and Corey Hall steering wheel I want to put in later so I didn't spend a lot of time on it. And the motor has color now. Doesn't look like I'll have time for paint before I fly out. I've been too busy focusing on getting it running 100% and scale points. Last edited by Highmark; 03-29-2016 at 08:48 AM. |

Is that electrical tape fender flares? I should've just skipped the paint step, I wasted a few days on it and then messed it up before even driving the truck. Also, really liking the electronic mounting spots. Man we really did use similar stuff. Mini BRs and ESC winch controllers as well. Last edited by VMGontheRocks; 03-30-2016 at 11:48 AM. |

For sure! Though I don't have any notes... I know another chino, but he A. doesn't build scalers and B. doesn't use electrical tape. | |

Got back from Nationals yesterday. I ran the bug in C1, C2 and C3 for a total of 15 courses without making any changes to it between the classes. I'm not sure how I placed but I finished all of the C1 courses, 3 of the 5 C3 courses and all of the C2 courses and I managed not to break anything. I made some silly newbie mistakes (mostly forgetting where the next gate was) that probably cost me and I was only at 53 points in C1 but I'm excited to see how it placed. If anyone got any pictures feel free to post up. |

So after 15 courses, any plans for changes? Or just continue building it. You and Dev got me thinking... One rig for 3 classes. I thinking toyzuki setup with mrc portal axles and bug body maybe. Your pics are funny with JT head sticking out in one. My back in the lastone. |

1: Get scale points to -60 (sliders, roof rack), stuff I had planned and just didn't have the time to get done. 2: I never really got hung up on the rear links but there's more clearance to be had so I plan to re-bend a set of lowers. 3: I want to reduce the weight of the interior. I think the biggest thing though is that I need a ton of practice driving. I gave away way too many points. I like that rig idea. I feel like the MRC axles are the next logical step for class one and portals just make it better. Those pics cracked me up. I like that I managed to have the ESC plug hanging out too. Amateur. I have to admit after talking with you on course 4 and watching the bug run I like the idea of using 1 rig for multiple classes.
