Whats your plan for bumpers?
I had to take one of the Ssd's out of the bag and fondle, I mean handle, wait... you know touch it...
I am going to focus on getting my 650 back to 100% tonight, then I will be building the Ssd's.

As for bumpers I am not sure yet, but something tubular and aluminum that can hold a winch.

OK I officially love the Ssd axles. They went together smoother than any axial housing has, and they look amazing.

Got the black on...

Then sprayed with blue, and pulled off the masks...

Looks really good.
I take it you paint the outside, black as base then blue on top? I've always painted the inside of a lexon body but wondered if doing the outside how it would act with scratches. May look cool.

Yes exactly.
It actually is pretty cool when you scratch it up, it ends up looking a lot like the real deal, especially with silver inside.

I stickered her up and took some outside pictures...

OK gripes...

The headlight stickers are to big, the fender marker lights are not included on the sheet, door handles are the wrong style. Other wise its a great body and has loads of detail.

Not finished, but progress is being made...

I battled the leafsprings and they won!

I picked up a wraith skid and while parts are coming for my twin hammers I stole the trailing arms, also ordered some new ones after a little mockup.

So trailing arm rear 4link and 3link front.
I love prerunners, so that will be the style.
Simple tubular bumpers, shocks poking through the drop bed ect...

Frame, skid mounted.

Playing with parts bin links I put together some all metal links.... hpi Ck lowers with a 30° ish bend for the rear uppers, and some homebrew lowers for the front and a integy upper. Still have to wrangle a panhard bar and mount.

Looking great all mocked up but I'm not sure I like the idea of you cutting holes in that body.. :(

Oh it's nice to see her up on her own. Could be the pic but does the WB match or maybe it's not centered as it's just mocked on..

It's just the picture, if anything the wheelbase is an1/8 inch to long. I might have bumped the body crooked so it looks short to.:-)

Psychotic amounts of flex:-) definitely need a sway bar.

Yeah I tend to do that, funny thing is that isn't all the flex the truck has, still got about a tires width again left in the front.

To remedy this I ordered a a wraith sway bar kit.
Working on finishing up the front end now...

Yeah working on it, and thanks.

Suspension complete, except for the rear sway bar.

She's coming along, I like the looks of the front cross member.
Any plans for a winch? Along with that I think you should plan in some recovery hooks..

This is why I had to build one, every thing I ever wanted it to do, but could never afford.

Thanks, I am able to make progress on my days off,
As far as the winch I will probably do a bumper with built in recovery points similar to this one I built...

Had some time to make some sliders, and mount the battery.

Also finished trimming my fenders.
