Approximately 50% more than shocks on axle. These are 90MM Traxxas big bores. Hope I don't disappoint.

Cool. I'm probably going to have a lot with 103mm Gmade shocks. __________________________ 1.9 Ibex tuber - The Merica ibex. R.I.P Dave Mirra |

My wife's scx10 is running the same big bores as mine on the stock axle, about 2" stroke length on each corner. Where this build has about 3" on each corner, but the perceived spring rate on mine is 50%softer, and dampening is 50% less effective. Meaning you need stiffer springs and thicker oil to get the same feel out of the trailing arm setup. Trailing arms are levers and have the same effect as a longer lever when moving something. I find that proper shock tuning is critical no matter how much travel you have, especially the faster the truck is. Weight balance is another critical adjustment to tuning a rig for going fast. Longer travel gives you a little extra leeway but is not a substitute for good tuning.

Totally agreed. I think im actually going to need to a soften everything I little, cause mine is stiff cause I don't have much up travel. We will see though. __________________________ 1.9 Ibex tuber - The Merica ibex. R.I.P Dave Mirra

Truck looks really good, I'm liking the stance. Need to see that bed in person, hard to see in pics but it's coming along. Any plans for wheel wells? How about the shocks, leaving open or doing a box around them? I should just shut up and watch.. :/

Yes to wheel wells, but going tubs after I get the sway bar in. The shocks are getting a tube cage and spare tire mount, kinda prerunner, ish.

3/32" steel rod and wraith links. The stock bars were to short to go through the frame rails, so custom here we go.
