Unfortunately, I had issues with binding, and with the new ssd housings no mounts. :(

Thanks Mike, I am going to keep the truck this way for a bit.

Working on a bumper that clears the tires...

And been having issues with my cvds not having enough angle to match the ssd combo.
So to run the truck I put an extra set of strc chubs and knuckles, with stock geometry. Will be doing a snow run by the looks of things today.
I also installed a cheap water proof brushless system, for mud and snow, in the 3000kv flavor an 3s she should have plety of wheel speed... ;)

Truck looks great, really liking the deep dish. How did your tires work in snow?
I see you took a break for awhile too. Flying is fun but I found it to get expensive one I went fpv..
Would like to install into my truck tho. ;)

We did more sand and rock today, then hit the shop and brazed up a bumper for Cory's rig. The tires work good, based on previous years running.
I have more into airplanes than I care to admit, and a fantastic place to fly... My front yard...

I like looking at the trucks to much to go fpv, though I do have a setup...

Anyway, Trail run today, froze our fingers off...

Snow was crazy in some areas but not so much in others. Glad to see you got out and had some fun, looks like a nice area.
Let me know of you want any more air junk..lol I'm keeping a drone or 2 but everything else is going.

Thanks,

Yeah we had some good times, Crawled for a couple hours until we got to cold, then went to the heated shop.

I got my bumper trimmed up today, and just get light rubbing at full lock an stuff.

Did a 3.5 hr, 6.9 mile trail run today, big tires are nice, and the brushless on 3s has fantastic wheel speed. My Esc needs some BEC help, going to throw a Castle 10 amp on her tomorrow...

A couple pics...

Nice! It was a great day to get out and run, Dig the pic with snow but trail is clear.
I loved brushless on 3s in my wraith but for scale I enjoy brushed just for that tiny little extra torque and low control.

I went brushless for the waterproofing aspect more than anything. I have killed a few brushed motors in deep mud and am trying to avoid that. The torque is awsome, and the slow speed control is suprisingly good, especially for a 4 pole motor. I got 3.1 miles out of a pair of 3s 2200 mah batteries, and my buddy got 3.45 miles on the same batteries but 35t brushed. except for the bec brownouts, i really enjoyed the combo.

I've ran them both and never lost a system but I don't play in deep anything.. lol stayed with brush this round cause of price of running this winter. $12 brushed is easy to swallow vs BL motor even if waterproof is a costly gamble.
How are you tracking your miles? Is there an app for that..lol

My buddy has a gps he carries with him...

I have great hobby shop support, got it from there. If I o kill it they work with me.
Kinexisis system is $75 all in, so not to horrible is I kill it. Not brushed cheap, but not Tekin prices either.

Does it have sensor? I didn't think senseless was smooth at low speeds and had cogging. Been a few years and maybe they are but brushed use to be smoother then SL.

No sensors... And suprisingly smooth.

We got out on the trail today, Big Creek Trail... Went 3+ miles and about a mile in I lost reverse...Boo!

I suspect the internal bec cooked something. I will throw in another esc with the external bec to start, Yes I have another, should be done tomorrow.
