I suspect the internal bec cooked something. I will throw in another esc with the external bec to start, Yes I have another, should be done tomorrow.
Man your lucky, it was a nice day for a run, tried getting off early to get out but no luck. I need to hit some of those #bitterroot trails, The few I have had a nice mix of terrain.
Sucks no reverse but glad you have a back up. Hopefully it's an easy answer with no future issues. Let us know..

Yeah, always wanted to paint the chassis of my 1:1 a bright color, and just happened to have this laying around. Plus I like orange!

Trail run today...

A little trail racing...

Did you get your reverse issue figured out?
I like seeing the frame in the running pics.

Thank you, I love seeing the splash of color to.

Yes. Thanks to good customer service at The Treasure Chest. I went in explained the problem, Bob dug under the counter, opened up another combo and handed me the new esc. He put my esc into the box and said it was going back. He also soldered on my castle bec, an checked the settings, bumped the voltage to 6.0v and updated the firmware. The store is struggling, like all brick and mortar stores, so I try to support them as much as I can.

I have a second for back up, If it doesn't last, I will probably pick up a Mamba X.

I spent some time in the shop...

Last week I attempted to run and my truck was totally bound up, snapped a cvd pin apperently. I pulled the cvs and found the other pin had walked out enough to bind on the chub.
I rebuilt those, oiled and reinstalled.

I brought home some Pitbull, Dirty Richards Foams, Stiffy in front, and leaner for the rear. Definetly changes the shape of the tire, compared to stock foams.

Wow, a big difference in shape! I'm interested in hearing what you think once broke in and ran a few times.

Yeah, makes the tires look like they are inflated ...

Funny thing yesterday, The truck went from meh, to suddenly climbing everything I looked at.

When I pulled the wheels the foams have broken in nicely, Initially soft, but very supportive. med in back, and firm up front.

She does require more wheel speed than my buddies Bronco, but I blame the hugely, open tread pattern he is using, compared to the tight pattern of the Growlers.

Yeah the other thing I noticed is the tires don't have the hard glaze on them any more. They feel sticky again... Yay!

All this freaking snow and cold weather is really holding me back. Where's your indoor course?

Yeah the weather really has been bad the last few weeks. Plus I have been sick...

Instead of crawling, I am wrenching... Re-body the wifes hilux, to prolines 85 Yota body... fresh body on my twin Hammers, off a ecx barrage. Built the Barrage and gave it away. Building a 2.2 F650. Got to throw a esc in my boat, rebuild my Timber (stol plane) and on and on...
