Finally got my bare bones in the mail.

The cutting begins.....

Cuts need to be cleaned up but good nuff

Here the initial mock up to get an idea how big this beast will be

I don't think this stretched axial chassis will cut it. ..

Nah I haven't. What does it look like?

The ebay one is too small for my taste. Plus I like the body lines of 77/78 better

And it's made from a crappy mold. Guy likes to mold people hands made bodies and sell them. The molds are awful.

Thanks guys.
Wheel base is gonna be just under 15"
Lol I cringed a bit too. I'm gonna trim a bit more then gonna use styrene to join the two together

Here is a comparison to the k5 I did before.

Next, trimmed a bit out of the cab section to make the door lines touch. .

Fits together like a puzzle

Now to get the inner supports welded on

I see that you are using job weld and styrene to join the 2 halves together. Would a 2 part epoxy and styrene do the same?

Yes it would. I like to use plastic fusion personally.

But the fumes when you mix the 2 parts together!

Noob has been using MEK for bonding styrene to these bodies, as well as bonding the bodies themselves together. I picked some up but havent tryed it out yet. Im guessing it would be a lot quicker then waiting for 2 parts to cure.
