Default SuperShafty Builds a C1 4Runner

Hey been a while since i've done a thread, but i was getting a bit board with the D90. So i had this weird hard body laying around and thought i could make into something. ive always been a fan of the 4runner. and have a daily driver as one.

Spent about an hour with a dremel taking material off this thing. say outside and held the vacuum close. it start at 1lb 8oz and i got it to 1lb 1oz. then decided to give it a more dramatic hair cut.

anyway, look a the pics, that's all you're here for anyway.

couple shots of the body and couple of some ideas.

Man, you did remove a huge quantity of resin. Looks like it was well worth it. Like the topless approach, hope it is your build direction.

well i have continued to break this thing.

but E6000 fixes everything. I needed to move the wheel wells back at least an inch. all this styrene should make it a little easier. but man this body sucks. it looks good, but a pain to work on. hope to have something mounted to a chassis in a couple days.

Got some more crazing done. The axles and suspension is done. just time to make some interior and some bumbers, maybe a mount for the transmissions.

Also got the GCM transfer case in. Love these little things.

some pics.
