Wow! That's awesome, what are you planning to do about the belt? I probably would've used chain to easier make the exact length.
Maybe there's something off a nitro that will fit?

Spent another night in the basement. Burning the midnight oil. Or 3am?? Who really knows.

Anyway. To fix my gear ratio issues I had t add a axial OD gear set to the front. Being that I love Team Ottsix Racing I chose the TKO10 V2 housing.

I ended up doing s super budget narrow xr mod. Because why not.

I used stock wraith chubs and knuckles as they will be plenty strong for this build. I drilled out the wraith chub to bolt in the existing holes for the scx10 knuckles.

Next it was onto making the axle work. No matter what I tried in order to keep my ride height and wheelbase where I wanted them a 3 link with panhard just seemed impossible.

I walked away scratching my head and ended up coming up with this.

A four link suspension with a cms. But wait what about the bump steer you say? Well I added mini revo shocks because there is not even really a need for shocks on this truck. Presto no bump steer. (Because the suspension only travels about 1/2 in. Haha). Oh yeah and brass links. Because D-links and I like brass.

Lastly I added super high tech belt tensioners. And man are they tight. A nylon rube over a 3 mm screw should do the trick. Yes there will be a little wear, but belts are cheap. Time to stock up.

And how she sits after way too many hours.

Did a little detail work this evening. Put the details in the bed sides and figured out the latching system for the "Tailgate". It still needs a rope/chain for when it is down.

Lastly made a place to store the tailgate pins when the tailgate is down.

That is an awesome build. By far one of the most innovative I have seen in some time. Can't wait to see the finished results.

Thank you. I try to think outside of the box. Hopefully it will be done soon. Real life seems to be getting in the way of all my tiny truck time lately.

Did some detailing work to the truck last evening. I think it is really starting to look the part.

Real truck for reference.

Put the details in the outside of the bed.

Also added detail to the inside of the bed.

Lastly I began work on the interior. I was able to clean up the excess wood from the wheel wells and put in the inner well where it extends into the cab.

Did some interior work this evening. I must say when there is no space it is difficult to build an interior.

First I turned down a steering column on the drill press from 1/4 in square wood. Because that is what I had.

Then I put in some floor boards.

Next came the seat, but I had to operate around a pesky servo that was surprised n the way.

That was followed by the dash.

Then a nice test fit. I am not so sure I like the cooler, but it is getting the job done of covering the servo.

I was wondering what kind of wood you were using for the body. Thanks.

It is simply poplar. You can pick it up at most local hardware or lumbar stores. It is 1/4 in thick.

I am on a mission. I have been trying to tackle one or two things a night in order to get this build done.

A couple nights ago t was door jams.

Last night was installing my new tires. 4.19 KLRs. They feel like they are going to be real performers.

Some for the street.

And some for the trail.

Tonight I build the seat. I needed space on the one side to covers up the top of my servo. That is what the hole was for. On the drivers side i grooved out the seat to make the driver sit a little lower as headroom is definitely at a premium.

More work on the build. I spent an evening making battery trays and inner fender wells. Also figured out headlights and tail lights.

And then today we have paint. I try not to toot my own horn, but I think I nailed the paint.
