Finally got the 3mm bright led's for the brights on the tundra...they are brighter than the main headlights although its a bit difficult to tell in the picture... Time to swap out the green axial steering linkage for something more appropriate! |

I have switched out the green axial steering linkage for a blue monkey set I had on another rig. Much better in my opinion! |

not much going on at the moment, I did re-design the spare tire hold down just a bit..my RB XL spare was not narrow enough to reach the spare hold down rod without compressing the tire quite a bit. I took an unused drive cup off the stock scx10 front axle and welded the existing nut to it and then shortened the threaded rod a bit and screwed it on. worked out pretty good and I used an axial plastic beadlock for now..then screwed an axial center cap down on it to hold it in place. the plus side is now the spare mount is adjustable by screwing the drive cup up or down as needed for the spare to fit properly |

I got my rc4wd cms mount kit in the mail today and am thinking about trying it on the tundra... I will get some pics up shortly Edit: It wont work on the Tundra without some modification to the chassis and right now I don't have any room in this rental garage to do much work like that right now. When I get the new house built I will be up and running to do this kind of modification.. Last edited by allanon1965; 04-07-2017 at 09:04 PM. |

Its been awhile since I did anything to this rig, it really performs well with exception to the brushed ESC and HH motor, so its mainly been beefing it up. I replaced the MIP drive shafts with Junfac shafts as the Junfacs have a greater working angle. I put a set of Ascender shocks on it as well. My final upgrade on this round was putting in a Tekin Gen 1 13.5 brushless motor I have had laying around for some time now. I bought a used MMP off the classifieds here to pair it with and it crawls much better. I am at a loss as to why, but I think it may have something to do with the Dynamite ESC I had paired with the 13t HH Crawl master sport motor. It was always jerky and lacked the low end control that the same 13t had in another crawler with an AE5 ESC. I am keeping them both so I can experiment with different ESC's with the HH motor. Here are a few shots at the property today, I was burning brush and cutting up trees they took down so I had some time to play in the dirt lol! |

Yes he builds solid good chassis that’s for sure. Love the blue, it looks great on that setup. Better than orange lol

Man i really should get my ass in gear and hit up my old employer where i could do all the fabbing in their fairly well equipped metal shop and after that slab just about any color of powder coat on it. But dont really have any surplus parts to build from, but maybe i could snag up one of my friends SCX10 cars he dont really use much since he became a TRX 4 owner. Good stuff |
