I'm sorry for your cat.
My BEC is blue, so the whole truck is waterproof.

If that's the case, we're all dead.

Based on the fact that the plastic housings on your shocks are not certified BPA free... I would avoid water at all costs. It would be a shame for some hippie to blow you up on social media for not using BPA free plastics.... he will pay no mind to the large leaking drum on the back though... that's a keeper.

Always like scratch builds by people that can get the dimensions right.
How do I bolt on this itch that's scratching my?

Nice truck! love the MadMoose Portal axles and the Volvo!

Shane should just do the right thing and change his name to make it easier on us.

Have you made copies for sale yet?

Copies of bodies? Nah. Not yet.

So, here's where I'm at after a lot of pondering.

I opted to go with a cover for the back section that gives it a racy, comp-ish kinda look that also serves the purpose of hiding the majority of my electronics. I'll make a skid that's bolted to the frame that will hold the battery and ESC. Keeping the weight forward-ish whithout sacrificing looks. SMRT. It'll get a lick of paint and decals that will match the cab.

See? Plenty of room for hiding things. I also replaced Balsa with Basswood, and I'm much happier with the result. Solid panels that will get some gaps to look the part.

Why not throw a massive puller in there to help pull?

Inner fenders for points. Although, I don't know if I'll need them - we're going to max this one out.

Despite this bumper coming from a Land Rover, it looks right at home on this Scandanavian Beauty!

More to come, this needs to be finished before the middle of March.

Awesome scratch build, I'm going to have to do one at some point soon just like I've done so many times with real cars.
I'll box it up for you. It comes as a flat pack, much like IKEA.

Well, I feel like I've been going backwards as of late on this build. Maybe that's because I've actually started the 2nd body.

Twinsies! Yes, that's right, I'm building two. The 2nd one will be given away to a lucky participant at the Ultimate Scale Expo, held in Florida this March. The SBG, well, me specifically, will be giving a talk on how to scratch build with styrene. This thread is essentially my powerpoint presentation, but in spectacularly more detail. From the basics, to advanced (stuff I don't do) techniques. At the end, I give away a almost complete Volvo c303 cab.

Not only will I be there, but actual industry leaders will also be there, giving lectures and playing tiny trucks. Hemistorm, JS Scale, Knight Customs, GCM and many, many more. I invite you to come out!

I made a dashboard today. Accurate-ish.

I also split a piece of 1/2" square stock and made a proper bumper.

And, in the process of doing that, I also burnt a hole in my shirt. Achievement unlocked.
