Default Ax10wannabe's attempt at an F350 crew cab

well decided to go back to 1.9's on my scx10 honcho since i have an ax10 for comping and stuff i sold the honcho bed and was running an hpi jeep rubicon body but it was just tossed on there so i could go crawling and i've always wanted to do a ford crew cab hardbody build so i said why not right now.... its something i can do inside when its too cold out to work in the shop..

anyhoo........... let's get started

taking my scx10 which currently sits on weighted 2.2 proline hammers and

plans are:

-2 tamiya F350 hilift bodies cut and mushed together in a CC
-cut the bed to make it a shortbox
-extend wheelbase
-1.9 mickey T baja claws (already bought those and got them mounted and tested yesterday)
-toolbox
-stacks
-gonna need a new front bumper
-i have a 3 racing winch right now but its getting replaced with a bulldog 9300 wireless winch from a friend
-drop bed
-sold the hitec 645mg servo that was in it so im replacing it with a hitec 7954 or 7955tg
-since i sold my alum links i tossed a set of plastics on there so i could run it so i'll have to build some more
then want to build a camper or something just for fun and try my hand at some styrene building..

well enough talk onto the pics.. i've cut the back off one cab tonight and set it on the chassis to see how it looks with the new rubber..

let me know what you think???? im a little nervous at cutting up the other body because i dont want big gaps i have to fill and stuff...

My wheelbase center of axle to center of axle is 14 1/4 right now. I might go just a 1/8 to make it 14 3/8.

I didn't take anything off the box. I wanted a long bed crewcab. It's gonna be a tow rig so I didn't care about the length. I added a couple of inches to an axial frame and I'm running leaf springs instead of links.

I mounted the body too the frame with 4 rod ends in the back, and a bracket I made in the front with some velcrow. I did a drop bed so I had to get creative and ended up bolting the cab and the box together. I don't have any pics at the moment.
