| brushless truggy project
Started this project a couple of days ago. So far its going pretty good but i think i am stopped until i find a rear axle. looking for a TLT or may be an XC rear axle. The frame and cage are all aluminum , fron arms are off of an old school RC-10, stock car rims with BFG tires, Tranny will be a custom hacked up losi mounted up front with a pede type slider driveshaft going out back. if anyone has an axle that might work please let me know. on to the pics.

I know its not a crawler but i always wanted to build a truck like this. It will either have a novak or mamba max combo in it. The front track width is 7 in. I will probably have to narrow some kind of rear axle or make one from scratch:-( if i cannot find anything else. |

I'm starting to see more and more prerunner's lately; I like it! For a rear axle, check out a King Hauler axle (see below). You can get enough internals to build 2 axles on Tamiya USA, part #9415418. Everything fits into a stock TLT axle housing, after you trim the ears off. I have one in my prerunner, and they work similar to a TLT axle, only narrower.

That looks great so far, looks like its coming along quite well. I wish people would post up more Pre Runner/Trophy Truck projects. I'm in the process of building to, its going to be a bit larger than this one. |

looks great so far! the only thing i'm curious about is your steering. it looks like you get a ton of bump steer when you compress the suspension. keep up the good work! i've always wanted to do one of these builds.

where did you get the tires? tires are off of Tamiya ford f-150 TA-01 chassis also used on Hummer kit. Thanks for all the great comments but i'm afraid the build has stopped until i find a axle for the rear. HELP , i priced out parts from the semi kit nearly 50 bucks just for the parts ouch. |

Chin063 thanks for the comments. in the first pics i just got the steering on and it did have a good bit of bump steer but i am working that out with some shims and adj to the front end.I also have two bodies that fit right now i'll post pics of them in a min. Tell me what you guys think on which body looks better i think i know but looking for a second opinion.

If you dont like those two bodies you already have, Rockwerks makes some cool Prerunner style truck bodies. I dont have a link but you can find him in the vendors section.

I like the frame you built, but the rest of the truck needs some work imo. The wheels are too small, and the arms definately need to be longer and at less of an angle. Oh, if your going with one of those bodies, I would go with the second one.
