There have been some new developements. Sorry to be so quiet. Instead of silver soldering a chassis, i bought a cnc machine. I will be custom making chassis, links, basically anything in aluminum, delrin, and carbon fiber. Im ordering the body tomorrow

Well its taken me almost a week to get it workijg on windows 1p but i finally made my first dry run for my frame rail on the new cnc machine. Now its a waiting game for the carbon fiber to arrive so i can make my first set. Havent decided yet ifni want to go aluminum or carbon fiber for the braces

Sorry about the lack of updates. The project had been put on hold due to 70 hr work weeks. I messed up when i ordered my body and ended up with a 14th scale instead of 12th like i had initially planned. I had to redesin the rails to match the body with minimal altercations to the original everest parts. I tried to cut on tuesday and ended up snapping the bit before i could run. The new bit shows up tomorrow but i wont have a day off til tuesday. From the looks of body size, u less i run the small all terrains l, it might have to end up being a mudder instead of a crawler.

Fianlly a decent update!!!!! Im about to cut the panhard kit i designed for this truck today. Whem i designed the frame rails, i wanted to do as little modifications as possible to the original kit. That being said. The upper mounts are still stock. I just shortened their mounting points
The lower links i new i would have to modify so i cut them down and re drilled and tapped for the proper wheel base. Ended up having to cut about half an inch off of each link
I also had to shorten the drive shafts by about an inch with my dremel cut off tool the angle looks off on the front driveshaft but i am lowering the suspension by about 20-30mms because it just sits way too high off the body

I still havent settled on a paint scheme for the entire truck. I might match it to my old street bike. It did end up being a 14th scale mudder. I might switch tires to an iuter diameter of 3-3.3 inches to make it look more like a road vehicle than a mega truck. Im definitely happy with the way everything is turning out being my first time doing all of this from scratch

Made it to my lfs and found tires and wheels for an sct that look great under this chassis to look more like a scale trail rig. also cut my chassis servo mount on the cnc to add to the scale. Im really happy with the direction this truck is taking. Seems to be falling in place

headlights and tail lights cut out. Then sanded down the production lines and hit it with primer. So excited for it to dry so i can spray the actual color

Heres a quick update.

Did decide to do a copy of my 1:1 just make it the way it will look eventually lol. Happy with the way the panit came out

Still not 100% happy with the headlights. Too many bubbles in the epoxy. Might try clear silicone next but it will have to work til i get more leds

It just needs stacks in the bed and it would definitely look like a mud truck.
